My families oldest cat just died. We got her when my sister was 7, she is now 26. The cat was beaten to death by my neighbors dog, I would take pictures but the dog is still loose.

hold on a sec.
you would take pictures of who, the cat or dog? I don't think I'd want to see pictures of a dead cat, and the dog is just a dog, it was only following its instincts. we shouldn't just take pictures of animals that kill and have some sort of quote along the lines of "there's the beast that did it!" wouldn't be proper my friend. I've done a good piece of study on dogs for a website, and I can tell you one thing, dogs are part of a family of breed called the Canidae family and that includes foxes and coyotes. Those animals are no exception to eating whatever they can get their mits on, yet when a fox or coyote commits the crime of eating livestock it's taken as a mere pest. Dogs are domesticated but not all dogs, even domestic ones, are far short of the same instincts that come with that of a fox or coyote. As such, we shouldn't be surprised when a dog does something like this.

Back in 1997, we bought a new puppy (Collie, same kind as Lassie) and after having her for 2 months I witnessed her getting crushed by a truck. The son of a bitch never stopped, he just drove on.

Gosh, I would cry for days if that happened to either of my cats.

Jesus! 26 years old is WAY past a cat's lifespan. Was he moving around with a mini wheelchair? My cat died lst year at the age of 19 and he was seriously hampered with bad agility. No way he could have held his own outside either.
Sorry about the loss.

I was going to take pictures of the cat, and yes the cat was 19. She was very healthy, no known problems with her.
If the dog was dangerous in anyway to other domesticated animals, shouldn't it be kept in a fence? I think so.
Sorry about all your other losses, and thanks for the support.

Maybe if you had one you'd understand. Until then, shut the fuck up.
Oh man, that sucks. Like gbull said, my cat is my favorite pet, infact, the only one I have.
