It has nothing to do with the board, someone just accidentally enabled moderator level controls for normal members.

Just so you all know, I have a complete log of ALL edits done to posts. So unless you want to be banned for a while, I'd suggest you all knock it off.

Please stop complaining about the layout. I have posted in BOLD at the top of the forum that this is temporary. This is the default layout, but thanks to the neat templating engine I will be able to create something a lot more familiar very soon.

Or, just fix the moderating controls, and if the forum software keeps a list of the users who edited others posts, ban everyone who used it (beyond simply testing it once to see if it worked, etc.).

In phpBB, the "Edit" permission means that you edit your OWN posts. In this forum, it translated to "anyone can edit anyone's post". I don't know why such a permission would be desired by anyone, but it's shut off now. I thank you all for having a modicum of maturity about it (just a bit anyway) and not deleting everything again. If I find the damage to be extensive I'll restore another backup but I think just this one thread was sabotaged.

Good to hear we will be seeing a return to normalcy Crimson. Don't work too hard though, I would imagine all these backups, forum changes, attacks have taken quite a bit of your time lately. Don't want you passing out from sleep on the lawn with Z's because you hadn't slept in days trying to fix Renegade Forums.

Also I locked one post, on page... 36 or something to test if the moderator tools were in fact not just appearance but real. I figured that was the most harmless test I could do. It was on like June Desktops of '01.

It was mostly Xtrm2Matt, Renardin, and DJM. There were no edits made by Aircraftkiller (which surprises me, sorry)... It doesn't log specific edits made, just the thread in which it was made. And it only logs edits on other people posts besides their own.
