1) Pick a name
2) Make sure you know what you want it to be about
3) Take your time
4) Don't do what I did and ask 1,000,000 questions a day
5) Make it and have fun doing it

My ideas for names are as follows:

Gamer-X
Gamer Generation
Game-Tech

A website for a variety of games is always nice as long as the site is updated frequently. Good luck on making your website if you decide to do so.

he's back.......

When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself,
First as a dark demon,
As a demon it uses its power to reign death upon the land;
and then it dies.

However, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns.
This time as a great hero...

Surprised Leave him be, I talked to him. He's going to stay. If you don't bother him and make a deal out of it, he'll sink in like I did a long time ago.

Hmmm, he said he got insulted and left, and came back.

Then he got scared of the internet police, left and came back,

Third time lucky?

No offense but you probably aren't capable of a one man gaming website. The public look for reviews of EVERY new game on the market, a place to buy games cheaply, populated forums, tech support, and oads of other things.

For starters, you need a host with a large amount of webspace and a large amount of bandwidth as well as didicated staff and well thought out tech support.

That however is for a website covering different genres of games and different types of consoles aswell.

Making a website based on 1 game or series is alot easier, you stil need the basics such as reviews, previews, screenshots, game features, strategies, downloads (SKINS, maps, utilities etc.), populated forums, contact details and daily news information amongst other things.

a few good examples are:

http://www.cncden.com
http://www.planetunreal.com

What DJM said.

and GDIDF. Deadfive's website is an insult to the internet.

If you want to really get going. Learn PHP and write a dynamic webpage. Which deadfive hasn't done.

And make sure to keep it populated. http://www.emptv.com <- read that before starting a forum. Prevent a rengen style website from happening Very Happy

And I mean rengen uses a freehost ffs. Dont use a freehost. Go buy a domain and webspace. http://www.123reg.com for a domain and sh3lls.net for hosting. Sh3lls is quite reliable and cost effective.

If you're going to make a website based on gaming, you have to make it a website that people are going to want to visit.

If you are like me, 15 years old, has no credit card and has no way to pay for a website. Free hosting is the only way to go unless you mooch off a friend.

Note: Your site doesn't need "Game", "Gamers", or "Gaming", in the title.

You don't need a credit card moron. If you truly do plan to turn your shitty rengen into a company. You would know you could use paypal. With a bankcard or some other service. But then again you forgot to change the title of your webpage from the default title. Which shows you did not even design your own page.
