Very few games used the D-pad anyway, and I liked it for the fact that it fit like a glove.

I agree with uurmek. The N64 controler was insanely leet.

I really like the current PS2 controller. So sleek and sexy. And feels good. But the N64 controller was leet++;

small as a gaming community, big enough as a forum. :tellme:

sure, there are pictures of them. the companies always release pictures and news and the media gets them fast. there's even news about the XBOX on a PS3 site.. Try these searches on google: XBOX360, PS3.

PS3 > XBox 360

If full backwards compatibility were all the PS3 had going for it, that ALONE would be reason enough. That means that it will play every single PS and PS2 game ever made, which in turn means that people who buy it won't need all the systems to play all their games. The X360 might play SOME of the old XBox games, meaning that anyone who wants to keep playing their library of XBox games is going to have to hang on to that old piece of crap that calls itself a console. PS users, on the other hand, can sell off their older systems and use the cash from the sale to reduce the price of their new console.

Plus, PS3 is releasing next year- that means Sony has more time to work out any kinks and bugs the thing might have. Remember kiddies, more QA testing = good. It is likely to be a higher quality product as a result.

"Arms discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. Horrid mischief would ensue were (the law-abiding) deprived of the use of them." - Thomas Paine

Remember, kids: illiteracy is cool. If you took the time to read this, you are clearly a loser who will never get laid. You've been warned.

The Xbox 2 controller looks pretty sleek, kinda like the Dreamcast controller. The original Xbox controller was a monster. That thing was WAYYYY too big, but the S controller is near perfect. The PS3 controller looks shitty, but that's what 3rd party devices are for.

Oh, so why's that? Because they're more powerful then your computer (Or almost anyone elses computer for about a year...) while at about 1/10th of the cost?

So true, the PS3 is supposedly "nearly as powerful as the human brain."

That article about the PS3 and the brain and whatever, said it was about 1% as powerful as a human brain. I doubt it's anywhere near that, not even the worlds most powerful supercomputer can come anywhere close to the human brain.

Wtf, now you are totally wrong. New consoles has probably best parts that there are NOW, but when consoles are released, consoles parts are old then. PC has been always more powerful than consoles. Razz

This computer is like 4 years older than the X-Box and over twice as powerful.

That's what I said. Maybe you should try reading before you reply to something?

Now, unless you can show me how almost everyone here has a more powerful computer then one of the new consoles, for under about $400-$500, then what I said was correct.

I'm not such a big fan of consoles myself, but thats because I dont like controllers since I'm a fan of Shoot em up games, so I find controllers hard to shoot with when I'm trying to shoot someone and I'm aiming all around the ceiling and floor etc... I love my mouse ^_^

Same for me. When I played XIII and Halo, I found it difficult to aim properly.

I wonder how are they going to fix that. Maybe they Should make it so that you can switch functions of the buttons, so the X O /\ [] buttons could be used for movement, and the arrow butons would do the actions. That way, you could hold the controller in your left hand, mouse in right hand, and be able to play almost like on computer.
THIS would improve experience of FPS games on PS3/XboX a LOT.
I know it sounds crazy, and that it will probably never be implemented, but if it would, it would be so Big Ups Thumbs Up

P.S.: You would not have less buttons(maybe only one, the right analog stick button(R3)), because on a regular controller, everithing you do with left hand could/can be done with a mouse.

If I'm not mistaken you can get a keyboard and mouse for PS2 so obviously there will be a keyboard and mouse for PS3.

I think the USB slots on the PS2 is for keyboard/mouse but I'm not sure as I've never tried it.

Huh

I think you wanted to say "...you can get keyboard and mouse for PC, so obviously there will be a keyboard and mouse for PS2"

Anyway, it would be good if they did it the way I sayd, so that the keyboard is not mandatory(because PS3 will/is not a computer) for playing video games.
