First time i have this(virus on visiting a known site) but for the second time today my norton detects a virus on my pc as soon as i enter cnc den (www.cncden.com).

It can remove the virus but once it's done it freezes IE and i have to de-activate it in the task lists menu.

Anyone else have this problem? Confused

Nope, the only odd thing I notice is that it is constantly trying to open the page, but thats about it.

Your problem lays within IE. Change that, and you shouldn't have a problem.

whoa.

"Exploit-MhtRedir.gen" also "VBS/Psyme"

I get this when visiting the page, along with some shit that tries to telnet to somewhere which if you don't know, can be used to control your computer remotely..

It's also replaced my Windows Media Player with a virus, "W32/Bube.dr". AND my Java client.. with "Exploit-ByteVerify".

Also it replaced my telnet.exe with "W32/Bube.dr", which I presume is the virus possibly a bot trying to open itself from that website (hence the telnet:// window I got).

Great.. I've just counted 14 virus notices from 1 "community" website thats trying to infect all of its users.

Good job Lion! Smile

I would use firefox if it wasn't such a bad program.

It can't load many sites i visit correctly (or not at all) so i have no use for it. It's also slow when it comes to downloading images...

The virus i got was http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/bloodhound.exploit.6.html.

http://www.opera.com

Quite possibly the best Internet experience available right now. Find a key generator if you're unable to deal with a small banner advertisement.

If they're all coming from just one domain. Looks like crazy-toolbar.com from your image, just change the hosts file accordingly.

Download Mozilla and you don't have to deal with ads or key generators. Razz

I just started using Firefox and I think I'm in love with the extensions you can install. It makes my work so much easier. It is a little slower to start than IE but it's worth it because of the features. No ads, either.

I'm the bawss.
