The ONLY thing he did to my map was take some DSAPO stuff out and put in heightfield snowdrifts.

HOW CAN YOU HAVE SNOW IN PLACES WHERE IT DOESN'T HAVE SNOW FALLING?

HOW CAN YOU CALL THAT MAP HIS WHEN IT'S OBVIOUSLY GLACIER FLYING, RENAMED, WITH CRAPPY FPS IN A ONE PLAYER GAME! LOOK AT THE FPS, IT HITS 14 AND GOES BELOW.

Your so full of bull shit, don’t you ever get tired of bitching all the time. That’s all you do here. First of all, I did a comparison of FPS's with my map and your map. And mine was only a littlie lower then yours but you have to remember, I have AI, 8 of them to be exact. And if you really knew anything about what you were talking about, you'd know that. AI does slow down your FPS. And point 2, I did a lot more to this map then your vocalizing. But thanks for the support. And I appreciate you showing pictures of my map. yeaaaaaa!. But I really don't need it. It’s going fast. Pretty soon, thousands and many thousands will have my version. So thanks for your help, but no thanks. Just get used to it. Your not the only map per here, your just one that tries to take credit for others work, you did not build the models used in your version of Glacier Flying, you did not even come up with the name, WW did that. You did the finishing touches and that’s it. So come on Ass/ck, come down to Earth, get out of your twilight zone.
Oh, and no where did I see and FPS of 14 or below after the game started, so get a faster chip set dude.

lovely map... for a 2 year old. i could probably do better, and i totally suck with gmax and stuff. you win the "Fucking Jackass award of the century."

Everyone owns all copyrights to everything they make.

wrong...you need to register copyright licence, which usually costs some money, and takes some time. just because you made something, doesnt mean you have a copyright.

i explained earlier how to get a "cheap man's copyright," but ack doesnt need to do that because no one will download glacier_ai anyway...

Hey Dante,

Isn't making and selling that pictures of Calvin a rip-off of Bill Watterson?

Very Happy Razz Very Happy

no, because if i actually sold it, i would contact his publicist, then ask for strict permissions to distribute his intellectual property with kickbacks to him of coarse... 85% him, 10% me, 5% shipping

lol

ACK is quite correct. You automatically own the rights to everything you create. If you want to prove that you created it, then you should register it in some way (bank vault, self-mailing, lawyer, etc). However, there's no such thing as a "copyright licence"

would any court ever give you any money for something that cost you diddly squat to make? I just dont think they would take you seriously as there is no money involved in any of this...

and by the way...taken from http://whatiscopyright.org/

"When does Copyright Protection begin, and what is required?

Copyright protection begins when any of the above described work is actually created and fixed in a tangible form.

For example, my brother is a musician and he lives in the United States. When he writes new lyrics, he prints them out on paper, signs his name at the bottom with the Copyright © symbol to show that he is the author, places it in an envelope and mails it to himself without opening it. His copyright begins at the moment he puts his idea in a tangible form by printing the lyrics out on paper. He creates proof when he mails it to himself - the postmark establishes the date of creation. He then registers his copyright with the U.S. Copyright Office which is a requirement in order to sue for monetary damages should a violation of his copyright arise. However, if somebody copies and redistributes his lyrics without permission before his copyright is registered, he still has the right to assert a copyright claim as the true author. "

you havent done that to my knowledge ack...not that it would matter.

(so i admit i was wrong in some aspects of the copyright stuff, but i was on the money for the chep mans copyright)

Lol... Don't you just love reading replies from people who have no clue what the hell they're talking about? You don't have to register anything to have the copyrights to what you make, you own all of the copyrights to whatever you make. And yes, you have the copyrights just because you made it.

[a bunch of crap was here]

However, if somebody copies and redistributes his lyrics without permission before his copyright is registered, he still has the right to assert a copyright claim as the true author.

Thank you for proving us right again.

Uh, time is money. So if he puts his time into making something he can claim it as a learning experience to build his skills for a possible job.

If you make furnature out of your garage just for your home, and someone comes in and steals it or burns it..... damn right you will be compensated, even if you werent going to sell it in the firstplace.

Thank you for being wrong. Very Happy

And you took a quote from that site to back up your part of the argument, so it doesn't matter.

remember that read me file that was copyed into the renegade\data foldier?
That outlined what you can and cannot do with that file without permission - if I recall correctly it said that the file belonged solely to Ack and you weren't allowed to modify it.

Thus if you did modify it, then you are in violation of that - just like if you install software it usually has an EULA, usage agreement etc
