Yeah sometimes I get them and I guarantee it wasn't Stonerook who sent it. I received one recently very similar and the file attached had an extension of .pdf.exe. Luckly my ISP won't let that sort of thing be downloaded from it's server so my PC was safe. But that email is a sign that stonerook's (if it was stonerooks email address) computer is infected. They work by infecting your computer then using outlook to send the message to all the people in your address book. Then if a person who receives it (you) runs the attachment then it will spread to all of your contacts and so on. I'd reccommend downloading a virus checker now and scanning your computer to be on the safe side. Use google to search for the virus if your visus checker can't remove it due to it being installed in your RAM. Companies offer a single exe to remove the virus from your pc that are difficult to remove.

Yeah your PC should be safe then if you didn't open it. I directing that part to Stonerook as it looks like his PC is infected as you received an email from him. Some email viruses are pretty bad too. One of them spread itself over a LAN too to non internet acessing PC's and that was the one that loads it into memory so i had to disconnect each PC from the LAN to stop it spawning on the other PC's. This paticular one attached itself to a windows system file meaing you needed some program to remove it without screwing up windows.

incorrect -not from me - someone is forging email headers - stonerook1 is my hotmail account - which is only used online and at hotmail.com (outlook free)

since it can be harvested from the web - you might see more -

I get email from spammers thinking i own cnc-renegade.com -- since i made a post there with this address...

Plus - my english is a tad better than that.... Smile

My machince is virus free (since i'm a manager for an IS department - i'm pretty confident it's clean) ---
