I went to install RenGuard, Then, I proceeded to restart Renegade.When I started Renegade, RenGuard did'nt have any affect. So, I reinstalled it once more. Then when I tryed to restart Renegade, it would not load. I would click the Icon and nothing would happen. Then I went to my Renegade folder, and found that my game.exe was missing..Im not totally sure this is RenGuards fault, but my game was worknig perfectly fine before the installation...
Any suggestions?

i got 2...
#1 renguard renames game.exe to game2.exe, and names itself game.exe, so if you have game2.exe and it's about 4-5MB in your renegade folder that sould be your renegade (game.exe)
#2 download a new game.exe(no cd pached) from http://www.unrules.com/
on the right side there is a "Downloads: section and there is a "No Cd"

Ok I got Renegade working again...BUT, Renguard will not install it says
"RenGuard must be installed in your parent directory"..
The file path is correct...I am clueless to the problem, should I re-download RG?
EDIT:Wait, Ive fixed it...Renamed the game2 to game, wow that was easy...
Thanks for the help though..
EDIT:Ugh..Now...RenGuard is SUPPOSEDLY installed...And my Renegade works fine..But the RenGuard menu that pop up when you start Renegade..Is not coming up...Do I need the menu or am I ok with out it? Will my RG show in games?..And is this the no-cd patches doing? I dont really mind useing the CD, I just want RenGuard to work..

ok... um... the no cd pach just lets you play without the cd, you just klick cancel when it tells you you need the cd and your done
as for renguard...
uninstall renguard using the add remove
then check if you have game2.exe and game.exe and see how big they are keep the one that's about 4-5MB and delete the other one and make sure you name this 4-5MB file game.exe. If you only have about 300KB game.game2 delete them. If you have no game or game2 then dl game.exe from the link in the post above.

Open the registry editor and goto:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\
Delete the 'key' (folder icon)
RenGuard
Run the renguard installer again and there should be no problems anymore.

if this doesn't work i know 1 other thing you can do.
PS: just remember how renguard works it's program that starts b4 renegade and has to run while you play renegade. Renguard actualy is what starts renegade using the (Renegade) button on renguard.

Still isnt working, did the add and remove thing...And deleted the smaller game.exe and kept the 4-5 mb one, However, I did notice when I deleted the smaller one...It started using my cd rather than the crack. I renamed the 4-5mb game.exe to game.exe... Still no RenGuard window poping up..

Okay got the menu to pop up, Now it says...(DAMN THESE PROBLEMS)
WARNING: Model Textures (Skins) have been detected on your client! You will not be able to join a pure server.
I know its probly refering to .w3d's but I have checked my data folder, and it contains no .w3d's...

there are about 1 or 2 servers that run in pure mode, pure mod = that you can't have your .dds, but the chances of you finding a pure server are low they are only used for some clan games and thats about it, i would say 50%+ of renguard users get that same warning, don't worry about it

in my post b4 without thinking i said w3d but textures skins are actually dds files. W3d are models and are not allowed by renguard.
