"Our job is to reclaim America for Christ, whatever the cost," Kennedy
says. "As the vice regents of God, we are to exercise godly dominion
and influence over our neighborhoods, our schools, our government, our
literature and arts, our sports arenas, our entertainment media, our
news media, our scientific endeavors -- in short, over every aspect and
institution of human society."
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)
"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)

Hydra | blah blah blah I hate you.
|
Hydra, tell me why I'm an idiot for posting this news article. If you might recall, I haven't actually given an opinion on it yet.
DarkDemin | Rolling Stone has got to be the shittiest magazine ever. SuperFlamingLiberal here would be a good writer for them.
Also, read another one of his moronic articles. He thinks that the Democratic Party is drifting right. Is he fucking insane.
|
Quick!
Tell me why the Democratic party isn't drifting right.
While Rolling Stone is not exactly my favorite magazine, they come out with about 2 dozen good political articles a year.

gbull | Better question: tell me why it is, without refering to the article (unless you already read it. then quote away.)
|
I never said the party was drifting right, darkdemin is just spewing smoke.

Because you agree with every word written in that article; it'd go against your nature to disagree with any article that bashes Republicans since you're nothing but a spoon-fed, pathetic tool of the Democratic Party.
IRON FART, the only person here who ever tries (and consistently fails) to sound smarter than he really is is SuperFlyingLiberalFucktard. I have never tried to "sound smart" simply to give my arguments more substance like he does all the time. If you have ever read just about anything he has ever written in this forum, and if you can't see that, you're almost as blind to reality and devoid of as much common sense as he is.

I'm a liberal myself, and from my point of view, SFE seems like an overly analytical and paranoid sort of liberal. That is all. No more, no less.
Calling him a liberal fucktard or a "Tool" (preffered word of many) does not help the situation. People here have called him names like this and made jokes about his father like this so many times that it has totally lost its effect by now. From what I see, SFE has matured and learnt to ignore people namecalling and heckling him. Maybe some others here should mature and stop namecalling.
Namecalling does not make you sound smarter or make your argument valid.

You really missed the meaning of that quote? Well, I suppose you are a Renforums conservative.

I'm a liberal, at least apparently, for my views on the war on Iraq... I was one until Paul Martin(z?) screwed everything up... >_<
No. Seriously. No.

Yeah, I know.
