I'm sure it's possible, but I don't think you can do it with the standard Renegade engine.

What you're trying to do may require a combination of multiple scripts or cinematics. Of course, that's how I would do it- it's the cheap way to do it but it should work.
I don't think that there's anywhere in the regular Renegade single player missions where there's actually a flying vehicle that chases you with innate behavior- they're usually following a waypath. The closest to what you're trying to do is when Sakura (in mission 03 I believe) will shoot at you, but she follows a waypath. Open the m03.lvl file to see what I'm talking about (if you haven't already.)
