Yeah, I recall getting totally pissed when it happened to me. Something along the lines of "I DIDNT DO JACK CRAP AND IT SAYS I DID" ...
It really is a bug in RenGuard. Don't worry about it; if you honestly did nothing, then nothing will happen to you. Just quit out of RenGuard (this will force-disconnect any "idle" Renegade connections you may have to servers, even if you don't *really* have any), and try again. If it persists, then wait a while... usually about 30 minutes to an hour.
