Jeb Bush tried, yes that is true. But not hard enough. Saying he and or his brother can do no more is bullshit. You can't tell me he doesn't have more power than some judge in a small county. If he REALLy wanted her to live he'd risk his office and go get her instead of worring about votes or w/e is stopiing him from doing so.

So you're in support of Jeb Bush declaring martial law in Florida?

Do you even know what that means?

What the fuck, seriously. Do you have to make fun of disabled people to feel good about yourself? Go into a corner and kindly die.

Quote: | She has never been given rehabilitation, (spelt wrong) You have no idea what condition she could be in and you can't say she that over the past 15 years she coudlnt' have possibly gained SOME function back if it would have been allowed. But the saint of a husband (*cough bullshit*) has ordered there be none. Yea he really cares about his wife doesn't he, and don't forget his mistriss either. yes after the things she's gone through now with the starvation she's probebly done for no matter what we do. It sucks, this whole situation sucks.
|
I wont call her husband a monster. From what I have read he has not left her side, and has made sure that her care upuntil now has been good.
- this is what I have learned so far, but by no means a real fact, i could be wrong-
She has only has two bed sores in all this time. This is unheard of and remarkable. He could have whored him self to the media, but has not.
There have been pictures of her brain posted on the internet, and they show that Terri's brain is not damaged, it's wrecked, no cortex to speak of, allot of it has been replaced by fluid. You need your cerebral cortex to be you, without you are not a person.
Rehabilitation can only happen if the person can respond, speech and sound therapy only work on a person who is cognitive. I don't know if Terri has even been cognitive, so I cant rely comment. But I do know that without therapy a person will make little if any progress.
If i'm wrong about any of this, feel free to flame...

Not necessarily true. We know where the body interacts with the consciousness and we know what factors may affect the consciousness, but no doctor in the world knows where the conscious IS. It is unfair to assume it is where we can grasp it, and judge Terri's life based on that. For all any of us know, she is still in that shell attempting to communicate but can't.
That does not mean she is dead, and it does not mean she isn't "there" anymore, if you know what I mean.
I also agree with you, somewhat. I don't think her husband is necessarily a monster. I think he is tired of caring and supporting her and not seeing any kind of improvement. He wants to let her go and move on (and already has, somewhat) as morbid as that sounds. However, I do believe that he should just allow her parents to continue to care for her until she finally does die.

Sniper12345, you are a faggit for just posting this. This is not funny and whoever made this should burn in hell. Terry's case is no laughing matter, she deserves to be treated with respect and friendlyness. She does not deserve to be put down by some faggot making fun of her and sniper, you are no better for posting this. Faggit, burn in hell.
EDIT: What kind of life is it laying in a bed for 15 years not being able to do anything? She has been suffering in a bed for 15 years and her parents are being selfish.

I agree. There is no way of knowing what makes a person conscious. i was reading about stephen hawking. He has motor neurone disseise and can barley move or interact with the out side world. yet he is one of the smartest people on earth. Surly there are tests for activity of — brain waves, electrical activity — were they done on this woman?
I would hate to think of such an end. Dying and not being able to tell any one. But I would also hate to be kept alive with no chance of getting better.
Just thinking about this is depressing enough, but knowing that one day I might have to go threw it my self, that terrifies me. I think its time to update my will. I'm 21 and I have written 3 so far.
