Opera is free. Most of the extensions for Firefuck are what Opera already supported to begin with.

and why would i need inbuild mail and irc that i am never going to use?

Why would you need Firefuck when it's not useful to begin with?

Would you be rather stuck with Internet Explorer instead?

IRON FART

but IE was always so easily exploited that it wasn't worth using it.

$10 Firefox and Opera have about as many exploits.

Probably, but I haven't been victim to any of them.

Because I don't want to see ads about viagra or some other sex pill shit when I start Opera up. No, I don't care if it's "the smallest window evar!111", FireFox has no ads what so ever, and the interface is great. So fuck Opera, I'm sticking with good ol' FireFox.

Opera only gives you ads for, well, mostly just Opera.

Firefox doesn't have any, period.

While I can understand where Aircraftkiller is coming from with Opera being faster natively, my FF is much faster than Opera ever ran for me, and that is why it wins. It is a bonus that it happens to support all the cool shit Opera does and more, because all I want is a quick and dirty web browser with no bullshit in the background.

Hell, I would use Lynx if only it would show pictures.

Opera advertisements are customizable to what you want to see.

You'd better go find another universe where advertisements aren't what pay for most websites, then.

Apparently Firefox doesn't need advertisements. And for Firefox there's the SomethingAwful Last Read extension, which works wonders on those forums.

Opera is the only major browser that isn't free (if you get a restricted version or a version with ads and have to pay for a better version or to take the ads off, then it isn't free), all of the others are completely free. Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape, and even Internet Explorer are free.

Not really, because only Windows owners can get the latest version.
And Windows is not free.

So, how is Internet Explorer, which is used by about 90%, not a major browser?

Rather you use/like IE or not is completely irrelevant, it's still a major browser.
