Ok i hope this hasent been posted before, if so i cant find it due to the crappy search feature. Well everytime i play renegade and i turn it off it freezes at the yes or no to turn off the game. I cant ctrlaltdel or alttab out of it. Does any one know how to fix this problem thanks.

i have the same problem, except i can go to windows task manager and close it there.

This hapens to every comp, doesnt matter what spec's.
But it hapens sometimes more then normal.

Yea, I run Windows XP pro w/SP1 and 'sometimes' this happens

This kinda is a SP2 issue on some systems.
Especialy with the quit Button that it ''freezes'' @ the exit on Renegade.
But Renegade will always keeps crashing from time to time unless they fix it.
Other then that the best way, to get the most less crashes is run it on low detail. 640x XXX 16 bit everything low. Thats how i got my longest uptime in Renegade.

On my pc renegade freezes at random times.
Sometimes on quiting. Other times while playing. It freezes for a few seconds and keeps going fine after that. Or it freezes again resulting in a crash to a grey desktop or disconnect.
This only happens on my new pc that is using SP2. :bomb: :stern:

We already did...we added an exit console command. Hit F8 and type exit, and it will close smoothly.

Mine seems to be missing. I reinstalled everything a while ago, and this command isn't available.
The freeze happens to me sometimes, but usually I can press Win + M and wait until the desktop shows and then I can close it form there from the Task Manager.

yes, because when I typed ex before i got extras, doing it with the CP1 gave quite an unexpected surprise....
