Recruit

when i click the exit buttion on ren (duh) it goes to shut down but the renegade will mot goaway and i have 2 restart my comp (the old fashion way)

I have the same problem, now when im done, ingame i type f8 then exit and it exists to the RG main screen.

Or Alt-Tab and exit RenGuard, which will automatically kill Renegade as well.

I think it's a problem in one of the dlls. When I ran a different BHS.dll.....for whatever reason...that didn't happen and it quit normally.

The other methods of exiting are annoying because then the server prints "DaEspion was kick by RenGuard for: RenGuard not running anymore" or "DaEspion was kicked by RenGuard for cheating" etc

Play the game with the same color depth & resolution as your desktop and you should not have this problem

when you see the mouse, just hit enter (the normal winows mouse) there is a windows error behind that renegade main screen :S and everything is fine if you hit enter because it goes 'don't send' and it quits... this happens for me but 1/10 times.... dosn't seem to be RG.

btw do you use a Radeon card?

I would turn that send report crap off alltogether.

this only happens with rg i uninstalled tryed to exit 10 time no problem i reinstalled rg tried exit 10 time and 7 out of ten times it froze

I have had the same problem on 2 different computers with two different copies of renegade. I am not sure but I dont think I had the problem on either computer before Rengaurd was installed and no other games seem to have the problem. Could there be something XP doesn't like about on program forcing another program to run through it. Also I still have the problem when I am using compatability mode for Windows 98 which is the operating system renegade was designed to run on.
