what's wrong with your current card? I have the same...there isn't a problem, at least in renegade, unless you are playing in a 16 vs 16 game with 1024 768 resolution and very high details. course', if it is a game like splinter cell you want to play I see the need, as mine played horrible.
By the way, you can grab an 9700 here in the UK for about 125 pounds. Dunno what that is in dollars, but the dollar is absolute rubbish. imports from the US are cheaper than buying things in retail stores in the UK.

The Saphire is a normal 9600 pro, and the other is a XT9600 pro.
A sort of faster core and stuff.
