ive been gettin into site design a lil bit..
and just wanted to ask a few questions ive been having..
with out having to search hours of google..
and not totaly get my questions answered anyways lol
on my server i have 2 files..
gdform.php
gdform.asp
whats are these?
im at the point where im tryin to learn how to get information back and forth..
like.. if you fill in your name address.. user name and pass.. and hit submit
what do i need to do this?
through the tut's ive been watchin they say i need a "CGI Script"
but is that what PHP and ASP will do for me as well?
perl/cgi scripts.. php/asp.. like wtf is the diffrence?
im just wanna know what i need to learn
more then the other so im not wasting my time..
im goin to be doing a site for a backwoods car dealership with 300 to 500 some pages..
and i kinda need to know before i get too deep into it

Crimson | PHP = free... I recommend that.

I concur.
It's powerful, but easy to learn. You can do simple things with it to start off with, but it is always capable of much, much more.
