Firefox has been identified in having code that could cause damage to your computer.
Exploit:
Mozilla and Firefox are prone to a vulnerability that may permit a malicious Web page to spoof the source of a download.
This may be used in a social engineering attack that entices a user to download a malicious file under the assumption that it is coming from a trusted source.
I think this was recent as it was in a mag i recently read. It has also been pacthed and in the nightly builds section.

Cant be that old. One must have been found last month. Since the mag was pbulished 9 days ago.

Yep, it has an automatic update feature. My version of FireFox was patched as soon as the patch came out.
