I was on hourglass yesterday, sat just in front of the agt in an apc. All of a sudden boom and I was dead. There was no-one else about and it was too quick for a few c4s to go off. Any ideas how someone could do 1100 damage in what appeared to be one shot?
No flashy signature..

I think that if you have C4 on you and you are in a vehicle when it blows up the vehicle will blow up.

Not that I know of.
My tanks have spontaeneously combusted before, and I've just thought sbh with some c4, but this time it killed me too outright. It just seems a little strange to me.
I figure on a cheat somehow, but I couldn't pinpoint who or how...

Nope. The C4 only damages your vehicle. (unless it's a buggy or something)

It doesn't have to be FR... Anyone can make "cheats", it's as easy as editing a rules.ini.
To find a cheater, look for people with the 0 bug, they can't damage you so they are spotted fast unless they restart the game and rejoin the server.
If you think someone cheats, ask him to hit you (damage check), if he leaves the game and rejoins saying he "disconnected" (or something like that) you can be sure of it that he cheated (most cheats need renegade to restart for them to be activated or de-activated).
Or just use RG.

it's when you start playing and then after like 2 minutes, your score and money go to ZERO and well that's it.
hey did it kill you or just vehicle? cause if it killed you it was probably cheat

I agree with what gr8man said. If you were killed too, it was most likely cheating. If you were alive though there is a bug that destroys your vehicle just as another one is bought.
