It works! ! !
Finally RenGuard is up and running on my machine. I do not know what was wrong and why it did not run in the past, so I tell you what has changed in my PC:
- GF2MX 400 is now replaced with Radeon 9600 Pro
- .NET Framework 1.1 is now installed
I strongly believe it was lack of .NET installed. Am I right? Does RG require .NET?

It might, I'm not sure. I know Blaze Regulator did.

Yes, RenGuard requires the .NET Framework.

Wow... I just got banned for being a fucking idiot.

I didn't think it required .NET framework... coding RenGuard in .NET would have been retarded.

I'm the bawss.

RenGuard does not even use MFC.

.NET is definitally not required.

Ok, then there is one more thing: when started for the first time RenGuard ask me do I want to turn on automatic updates from BHS. I usually answered Yes, but for some reason I answered No this time and it works.

Moreover I installed CP1 after I manage to run RG and guess what - game.exe error appear again. So I uninstalled RG, then installed it again and... it works!

Welcome back!

I come back to Renegade after a brake. And I still have a problem with RG. Sad It looks like it is still the same error message ("GAME caused an error: incorrect page in module..."), but it is now... hmm... more predictable. Here is when it happen:

step 1. Install RG
step 2. Run RG
step 3. Run Renegade
step 4. Play Renegade
step 5. Quit Renegade
step 6. Quit RG
step 7. Run RG --> ERROR ! ! !

What I have discovered is that RG works just once. I mean I have to reinstall RG to be able to run it again. So what I do is:

step 1. Install RG
step 2. Run RG
step 3. Run Renegade
step 4. Play Renegade
step 5. Quit Renegade
step 6. Quit RG
step 7. Uninstall RG
step 8. Remove game.exe and rename game2.exe to game.exe
step 9. Go to step 1.

I know it may sound wired but it works for me.

I do not expect you to solve this – I wrote this just to make you aware of the problem. If you solve it – grate! If not - well... maybe someone could create a script or something that would do:
1. Uninstall RG
2. Remove and rename game.exe/game2.exe
3. Run RG installation
Not that it is very important but it would save me a few clicks! Smile
