I've browsed every install post I could find, and still havent come across this one yet:
Running with Win2k, 312m Ram, PIII 800 and a Hercules 32meg Vidcard. Updated drivers on everything. I get through the install intro, serial number and get a crash at 13% install EVERY TIME. I've tried the alternate install with the alternate serial number on a different machine - same thing.
I get a crash to desktop - no error message, no blue screen, nothing in Task Manager or processes - just a desktop...
I understand this is now a bargain bin game, but I'd still like to get my 10 bucks worth out of it...ANYONE else had this issue and fixed it???
Thanks,
TAY

It may be crashing on a particular file on the install. Find out which one it is, then try extracting it to your game folder manually. You can manually extract the files (can't remember the archive names, should be easy to find though, they're the huge files) using winzip or something like that, then when the installer runs it should progress to the next file.

Ren,
It was locking up on the Always.dat file. Took your advice and extracted that one out manually - rest of the install went fine. Not a bad game for 10 bucks. Thank you for the help
