Hey,

This may seem like a total waste of time but hey I'm gonna ask anyway. Crimson would you consider slightly altering your search script?

At the moment if you type in say FM to look for all the FanMaps people you get loads of the rtfmi people returned in the search.

Could you make it so that if you type in FM it looks for only people starting with FM and make use of wildcards like * for anything before or anything after?

Also would it be possible to make use of delimiters like ; so you could search for FMZunnie and WNxCABAL on the same search?

I think this would be a nice addition to the search engine on your page.

When I suggested that a more advanced version of Till's changes be applied to Renguard, mac said it would require an alteration of the protocol, which wasn't feasable at the time. Did this change?

Just use the lower Advanced search form to do it.

Can I just ask for one more thing? (I know that is a pointless question cos I'm going to ask anyway Razz)

Is it possible to have a search so you can type in multiple users. (Up to a maximum limit of course) So I type in FMZunnie; WNxCABAL; WNxTiger

Then this would bring back only the results of the people that it found.

What are you trying to do? Because anything requiring that basic knowledge wound't matter if it came from IRC or a website, whats the difference?

I have nearly created a nice looking GUI Renguard Locator for our clan.

Tilly has made a RG Buddy List, but operates slow because of the single searching technique. With a multiple search technique, it would allow the buddy list to run faster!

It is Andy's idea that we are trying to accomplish and we have done most of it we are just working on speeding things up which Crimson has now helpd us with. We would just like one more request done and then we are happy (For now Razz)
