I love people who do their job right, and take passion. Just like teachers who enjoy it

Is there any chance for a v1.038 patch for renegade do you think?
|
No chance, this is EA we are talking about, I mean, look at the Renegade "website". Its not a website its a useless webpage with nothing on it. why don't they hand over the domain to the renegade community/BHS so we can make it into a website.
Also this has got to be the first technical support I have heard directly from EA since I have been browsing these forums.Which shows obviously that EA don't really give a flying fuck unless they are bombarded with emails.
I thought you were all against EA? For the work they force their employees to do with no overtime pay? for the "slavery" they induce. For the fact that technical support for the games they come out with is either useless or non-existent after a month of the games release. But now after a few postings of one employee you're all "whoopee! Go EA".
I am thankful for Richard's support and I'm sure when I have sent emails to EA in the past every reply was from him. Big thumbs up to him but still, the bottom line is, EA suck. Maybe if they employed more people like this guy who actually care to keep people informed instead of becoming expert bollock scratchers then we wouldn't all hate them so much.
Lets take the Scud Storm bug in zero hour as an example. This bug has been around for a long long time with no response from EA on the matter of fixing it.
EA have completely neglected the community of Generals / Zero Hour / Rengade and other games too. There are now so many cheats, hacks, and unsporting behaviour by people online that Zero Hour has completely lost the one aspect that lets it keep its shelf life. Now if EA managed to make a patch that fixed scud bugging and map hacks, and punished players who use disconnecting and mis-matching when they are being beaten the game would be more playable and a lot more enjoyable. Obviously they won't as they have no interest. However a lot of people like myself would have been the backbone of future C&C game communities, Ive heard of a Red Alert 3, I personally won't be buying it as I know that EA just doesn't give a damn about the game after you've shelled out your hard earned cash.
Renegade was just deserted too.
Again, bottom line is EA sucks. They couldn't give a flying fuck about patches , updates, support etc. for Renegade. Only making money (and idiots) out of the public.

ya thanks dude, we appreciate it. Richard please show this topic to your superiors, our community is dying and only us Hardcore select few still play the game. It wouldnt be this way if there were regular updates, regular contact from EA to the most contributive of us (Black Hand Studios, Mac, ect.), and (I know this is a tall order) hope of a sequel, or prequel, or whatever renegade 2 was supposed to be before it got cancelled. EA could probably add to their profits in fact if players knew that the company was going to stand by them. I know you probably arent the one to tell, but your the only person that has made any contact with us from EA in quite some time. O, and one other thing, show them this:

hopefully, you know the right person to show this stuff to, if not, im sorry I wasted your time.

Yuri | To that end. When exactly did you guys start noticing the servers not connecting people to the games?
|
Dont know if this is true of it will even help you. I found this on a clansite for Tiberian Sun. This a direct quote from the site, not my words.

I have information from a trusting source that a person by the name of "zoofreakz" or something like that is primarly responsable for hacking the server, along with 3 others. Though my source, I have indeed obtained zoofreakz's AIM name, and confirmed this information myself. He did it so that his server, the one we are all playing on now, would be the only server that tiberian sun is played on, He himself is just a pawn in this sick, twisted scheme. I asked him a question to which he had no reply, "If you hacked the WW server and people don't know how to connect to yours, how are they supposed to play". He has reported that he is very sorry and realized the mistakes he has made. He says he is trying to correct them, but so far, he has not tried.
I think his server goes by the name XWCIS.
