Hi,
Can't seem to get on ANY servers through GameSpy today and the problem seems to be RenGuard.
[14] Trying to connect to server #1...Connected
[14] Secure link established.
[14] Welcome to RenGuard , CaptApple!
[14] To launch Renegade, please click 'Renegade'.
[14] WARNING: Model Textures (Skins) have been detected on
your client! You will not be able to join a pure server.
[17] You have joined UNRULES.COM - New Maps.
Then I see the normal game loading screens (testing connection,
Objective screen, Message of the day).
Then I see a nuetral colored background with Team scores in
the right places and a full game time at the bottom but
flashing "Gameplay pending."
Then I see a message box that says "Connection to Server
Broken - Please Quit".
Then I see the the Renguard site with a message saying...
"[17] Disconnected from RenGuard network"
"ERROR
We didn't find you in any server on the Renguard Network.
Click here to try again."
What does it mean I wasn't found on any server? The message on the RG page Clearly said I was connected to the UNRULES.COM Server. Last time
I played (2/2 or 2/3/05) it worked fine and for months before that. Today Renguard can't find me even though nothing I can ID has changed.
I run XP Pro SP2 and patched to the day on an AMD 1700+ Athlon CPU. I connect through Game Spy with a DSL connection.
Anybody know what's with that? Is it happening to anyone else? I like playing Renegade and since the wife left that's about all so please help : ).
