I had renegade installed before, but it seems that after updating my vid card drivers the game tended to just....stop, and my moniter would go black and deguass, and i had to reboot. I have since reformatted for different reasons, but the problem remains. When I try to install, somewhere around the point where I'm selecting where to install to, it just freezes, with the music still going for about 5 seconds, then the moniter goes black and deguasses.

I had this same problem with Warcraft III, and the tech support guys fixed the problem by having me put a -swtnl after the location in the properties of the shortcut to the game exe. Does anyone know a similar command that would apply to Renegade?

I have an ATI Radeon 9600XT, and the newest ATI drivers and control center from their website. Running WinXP SP2 with firewall on, and with AVG, but neither of those seem to be causing the problem.
