i recieved this error trying to install cp1. anyone know if there is a way to fix this without having to try to redownload it?
If you experience problems with renegade (e.g. renegade wont start, always.dbs missing, wrong language), make a note of what this program says and report it to blackhand studios.
language id=0
english detected
removing old alwys.dbs
removing new german always.dbs
removing new fench always.dbs
renaming new english always.dbs
now renaming scriptsx.dll to scripsts.dll
error 17
any help on this is much appreciated.

I had the same problem too but jw fixed it for me. To do that go to your ren folder and delete scripts.dll and rename scriptsx.dl to scripts.dll
It might work for you
