I had the same problem just yesterday...

The 3D Studio Max still has the license information saved on your system which causes a mailfunction when looking for components alrteady installed...

I could not get this to work even though I tried my best...

In the end I had to resort to formatting my sysstem the instaling 3D Studio Max again...

If anybody knows a alternative way to solve this please tell me as I would also like to know.

Why the hell would you delete the folder? It's a hidden folder on the C drive, with an erroneous name, common sense would have told you that it must have been important.

c_dillia is the folder where 3dsmax keeps/stores/etc. information about the software/license/whatever.

A solution... If it has been recognized on your system, it would be a good idea to go throught your registry editor. http://www.cybertechhelp.com is a good place for stuff like this. Just incase this happens again, you know what you should do.

Just call up Discreet and they'll ask you a few questions and then tell you the activation code to get it back up and running.
