We aren't trying to wipe the Earth of every person from the Ba'ath party. Notice that whenever they shoot at us we shoot back, and when they don't we take them in and feed them and have them sit around all day not killing people in a Prison Camp? We aren't committing Genocide here... That's completely Ludacris. I also can't beleive the GERMANS of all people are saying this lol... Irony at its peak. More ironic than :

"The systematic and planned extermination of an entire national, racial, political, or ethnic group."

America is guilty of not one of those

this is the dumbest accusation you have ever made.

the definition isnt the problem, its YOUR accusation. We did NONE of those in the definition. twit my ass.

National - we arent exterminating iraqis
Racial - we arent exterminating muslims
political - we arent killing people based on the sole purpose they belong to the Ba'ath party
ethnic - unless Terrorist is an ethnic group, we arent guilty there either

I haven't made ANY accusations. You firstly claim that I believed what you're doing is genocide by quoting the actual definition thinking it was my own words, then you go onto to assuming that I believe that is what's happening.

If you're read carefully (which, again, you haven't), it is a PROBABILITY that the German government can charge whoever they want in their nation in relation to that crime because the word encompasses quite a long list of possible crimes should they deem the war illegal.

Stop seeing the world and other people's opinions as black and white and try using the remaining parts of your brain in an objective manner. You'll suddenly realize that your scope of things will increase quite a bit.

black and White is your job, i would hate to take it from you. Morals never come in to play in your posts, only exact law. However thats not the point, the point is that the Germans could not JUSTLY accuse us of genocide as none was commited.

What, not the big enough man to admit you tried to accuse Java of something he didn't do and got it wrong?

Still, I suppose not mentioning things is better than being wrong...

There is a reason I don't USUALLY bother to post my moral opinions on something. Firstly, it's none of your business. Secondly, I have no personal intention of forcing my morals on anyone (a problem you and your annoying ilk have a tendency to do) so I do not waste my time trying to. Finally, it is irrelevant how I personally feel when it comes to commenting on something. You might be surprised, but you and I have very similar morals-- the difference is that I don't go around preaching them and putting down others because they don't necessarily coincide.

The law on the other hand, is something concrete that in theory shouldn't waver in the face of morality. You and quite a few others lack an understanding of this and is usually what causes these heated discussions. The irony is that you agree to the law by being an American citizen. Just like I agree to Canadian law by being Canadian. And just like we both agree to International Law because we signed the Charter. If you don't like any of the preceeding, luckily all of those laws give you the freedom to pack up your bags and leave.

Just in YOUR courts, no. The same is likely in Canadian courts as well. The difference here is that Germany doesn't run like America does. And what is just in Germany may not be just in America and vice versa. Remember, America's code of justice in a global level is no more valid than Cape Verde's.

There is nothing in the Charter stating that it is law. It only mentions that some international law should be established, but it doesn't obligation members to it, nor does it establish any of said laws.

I'm the bawss.

Not quite. U.N. on international law estasblishes that there is in an international law. This law pertains DIRECTLY to what the Charter has in it.

I should also have you note that America sits in the International Law commission. A commission that deals with such laws and determines documents based upon the Charter.

Not only THAT, but you also sit in the international court of justice.

If we left the UN, who would they pick on? France? Laughing But seriously, if we left the UN it would be nothing more than a joke, we are the only country that Enforces what we say.

I thought this was enough to drop it, but if it will make you happy Dave, sorry I accused you(Java) of accusing the US of genocide, i misread your post. but this still stands:

gbull

the point is that the Germans could not JUSTLY accuse us of genocide as none was commited.
