I remember a long time ago somehow the entire image gallery was lost and every member lost everything in their image galleries, and had to start from scratch.
However I remember Crimson saying that the images weren't actually lost, just their links. That is, if we knew the URLs we could still access the images.
That means, theoretically, those old images are still stored somewhere on the n00bstories webspace today (unless Crimson deleted them all). If they are, I was wondering, is there ANY way to retrieve the links of the old images (even if you wouldn't be able to determine who uploaded the image)? [Could you run some databasing or indexing program to find the images]?
I had some very early Renegade and PlanetSide images uploaded to n00bstories which used to be saved to my hard drive also. I thought it would be cool to share them with others (I'm sure others would like to do the same with thier lost images). However, I lost them when my computer crashed and I had to reformat.
I'm sure that if there was any way to retrieve these image links, I would scour through them all until I found the ones that I uploaded. I'm sure plenty others would do the same.
If this is actually a possibiliity it would be great to know.

Yes, I still have the images and there is NO WAY to know who originally uploaded them. If you have the ID numbers I could add them back into your gallery but without that there are literally thousands of misplaced images to search through.

The only thing I can think of is just to put up a page of links leading to each picture and then just have people sift through them. Sorting by size might help a bit. People could remember if they are looking for screenshots which would have large dimensions.
On the other hand, I'm thinking that this is a terrible idea because:
A. It would take forever.
B. It would slay Crimson's bandwidth.

I currently have 4 Linux servers and 1 windows server, but one of them will be decomissioned this month because I bought the new one (that I still haven't moved everything over to grr)
