100C? you must mean 100F cus 100C is 200+F and well that will just burn the processor up. You can get it up to about 100F without a problem.
I have P4 and AMD's and I keep them all at about 80-95F. Those are the best temps to have them at. You can get them a lil higher but I wouldn't say 100C/200F ever unless you only want your comp for a few months...
Also remember to cool your motherboard. and keep dust off em, or you'll just burn it all up..

No, I meant Celsius. And I know that 100C/212F is extreme and will burn most processors, but from what I've read from some overclocking forums, some lucky CPU's have survived it.
Many processors, especially AMD ones, will stay perfectly stable at 80C/176F, just like mine did, although it's a bit high temperature. I'd say anything around 60C and below is OK. Depends a lot of the CPU, of course.
There's a hole in the sky through which things can fly.

If your gonna do it just dont go Cheap on the heatsink and fan. get a VERY good one. Maybe even liquid cooled. You would be surpprised what you can overclock the P4 3.8 HT Extremes too. Got my nephews up to 5.8 with liquid cooled. Its running about 85*C
