Ok I'm new to this and I am going to start hosting and FDS with Brenbot. Now I can host and everything is fine but I don't know how to play in my own server. When I am hosting and I try to login to the (I click on the renegade icon) game. The game does not load up. once I click it looks like its loading cause the loading little icon shows up next to the courser but then it disappears and renegade never comes up.
I am running rengaurd. And I host with the ID DarksFDS and trying to play with the ID Sevak.

Start Renegade, then start the FDS.
|
Just install FDS in another directory, copy all maps needed into the other DATA folder and, like confuzor wrote, firstly start Renegade and then the FDS. But be sure this will slow down your Ping and the Serversided Ping too. You must connect to WOL and WOL redirects you back on the same computer because is your FDS located there (same IP).
If you have a LAN with 2 computers or more, you can use RenIP and log in directly on your server. Type in the IP (IE 192.168.1.124), the Port and the Nick you wanna join with. Save this setting and click on connect. Thats it.
