Yea the account itself is, but is steam the only way you can "buy" it? I haven't seen it in shops... Unless they are sold out lol. (i keep seeing that steam thing everywhere so that's why i'm thinking that...)

I tried to download the demo... but... it's so big it takes 300 MINUTES to get it.

So that's a big no then. So unless you can buy it anywhere i will not be trying it, or upgrade my pc...

You can buy HL2 in stores. I got my copy from Best Buy. They may just be sold out. I've seen it at Best Buy, Circuit City, and even Wal-Mart.

i reccomend downloading the demo while you wait, its pretty fun. I own RavenHolm with my Grav Gun Razz

And Im a noob to CS, so is it just when u die, u wait for the end of the game, or do you get respawn? I notice there is money to buy guns or different weapons, how to you get money and how do they have it set up so you can buy things(ex: Renegade has PTs, wut does CS have?)

If you die, you have to wait until your team wins/loses either by killing each other or successfully performing your objective. Your objectives are determined by what team you are on. Some maps, if you are a Counter-Terrorist, you have to rescue hostages (ie. Office). Other maps, if you are a Terrorist, you have to plant a bomb and have it explode (ie. Dust).

You have to have money in order to buy your weapons. You generally start off with $800. That limits the game to a pistol round. If your team wins, you get more money, if your team loses, you still get some. If you kill someone, you get $350 for each kill. Your money is limited to $16,000.

1pt per kill, 3 for disarming or successfully planting a bomb, and you get extra for rescuing hostages as well. You lose 1pt for getting killed by a bomb, and depending on the server you may lose points for killing hostages too.

Anyway, here's some free shotgun ownage, had just pick it up off the ground Very Happy

. The last guy, spider-man, flew right over my head when I killed him. wish i had of gotten that in the pic.

Yeap , and there is also a Half life DM upgrade with like 2 maps. The game comes packaged with Half-life 2 and Counter strike source. (Basic pack)
