I am trying to install Core Patch 1 on a mahine running Windows 98 SE. Whenever I try to install it it says, "Verify Of New File Failed. Possible Internal Error." The file it crashes on is data\always.ger. Thanks for any help in advance!

when im in instalation. im getting damn near to the end but a window pops up labeled (this was through the Regedit instalation, as it never was able to instal through just the renegade files.)
C:\Westwood\Renegade\language.exe
if you experience problems with renegade <e.g. renegade wont start, always.dbs is missing, wrong language>, make a note of what this program says and report it to Blackhand Studios.

Removing old always.dbs
Removing new german always.dbs
Removing new french always.dbs
Renaming new english always.dbs
Now renaming scriptsx.dll to scripts.dll
error 17
it stops there and i cant even play renegade anymore, cause renguard wont let it load.
please email me, need help fixing this.
