Sounds good, BUT you have to remember that it is a first person shooter, not a RTS...you are one unit taking on the world of the opposing team. Being that it's the HL2 engine, you either make really long levels (or else people would be like "yay! i beat it in one day...what's next? Confused

), or put in a few mind using puzzles like they did in the single player.

But don't do anything like they did with that one valve, that was TOO hard. You cannot even see the damn thing until you falldown looking at it. Smile

Just because it's an RTS doesn't mean it can't be transferred to a FPS. Savage works fine like that, so does Natural Selection and quite a few other RTS\FPS hybrids. That excuse is used by Reborn to try and make up things since they don't want to do the work involved to actually make it feel like Tiberian Sun.

And we never promised anything. Stop putting words in our mouths... Every statement I made is backed by "may" or "possibly" or something that isn't equivilant to promising something. Even then you should have some faith in us, we did release over 20 patches for Renegade Alert in the two and a half years we worked on it for the W3D version. That's about 16 more than Reborn put out.

Also, just a thought, if Reborn is as bad as you say it is, why do you bother posting stuff about it everywhere and mentioning it every chance you get? Instead of devoting time to something you know is inferior, doesn't it make sense to put that effort towards something more productive?

C&C sold well over four million copies. Renegade hit about 750,000. I count the community as more than the forum jockeys, but rather the people who also play the games.

First off, we don't need to try to get people to loathe you.

Second, cut the Reborn Sucks crap already. No-one is denying that Reborn, compared to Ren Alert, pales comparitively. No-one has ever objected to that.

What people object to is the "point" "Reborn Sucks" being driven into their skulls with a mallet and chisell. I'm not talking about one of those half-moon chisells people use for crazy paving, we're talking about the long, sharp and thin kind you hit with a fucking sledgehammer.

Reborn sucks was funny at first. The pillarying (sp) of the Reborn team was humerous at best. Now, it's a monotone akin to "I'm Rick James, bitch"; something that has been repeated ad nausiem (just like this arguement).

This Reborn sucks thing can also be taken as hate mongering, ne? I don't see, personally, how you of all people can argue a point about hate mongering against something or someone being different. You've mongered hate towards Reborn so much that people have started to think that the people behind Reborn have sprouted 3 heads, are "assrammers"l and are plotting to assassinate the President or something.

So, since you're preaching hate to people, can't we do the same to you now?
