Some maps come with .thu files.
What are they?
Can I safely delete those?
Could it speed up the mapload process?

Thanks in advance

A .thu file is created in the data folder each time you play a map.
They're not vital or anything, so you can delete them if you want to. I doubt either keeping them or deleting them speeds up the mapload process and if it does, you probably wouldn't even notice.

isn't a thu file a sort of cache for a map?

if you delete the .thu file, it will be regenerated when you run the map, so technically, it will slow loading down

does anyone accually know what .thu is Confused

.thu files (thumbnails) allow you to see a thumbnail (small picture) of an image before actually opening it. I have no idea why a .thu -file is created from every Renegade map though.
