These forums have helped me learn all abut modding. Without this forum I would have not learned how to model how to unwrap how to put stuff in game. It was the starting point for all my knowledge of the computer. I thank you all for that, I can now walk away saying I have accomplished a lot over the past year and a bit. Over my experience in this forums I have been disliked for my views and opinions flamed by people like Aircraftkiller but yet I still remained because I wanted to give something back to this community for what it did for me.
I never was liked here and I know this. I now walk away with a few good friends and several enemies. I taught many people how to do things with the engine and taught them how to unwrap and model properly. I received thanks and that is all I asked. Although still even though I would help people I was still disliked. The main problems with these forums are the buddy-concept and the lack of moderation when it was first handed over to Crimson. If you were not a close friend of the owner you would get flamed by her close friends and she would never do a damn thing about it.
This caused several out of control people think they are gods and regain a certain power over everyone else. With all the attacks the forums have went threw we have made it but there are still some people who are trying there hardest to take this place down. Now that I look back it is the community’s own fault why it has so many enemies. The constant accusations random stereo-typing and name calling would light like bushfire if it was initiated by a high level member. I made three posts that where just quotes and received the title “Ignore My Post Count - I'm a Spammer. I apologised for the matter and assured Crimson it wouldn’t happen again but I received the title and it remained. Now its not just that I got the title that pisses me off it’s the plain fact that so many people such as glyde who has spammed constantly and Aircraftkiller who’s entire post count is off of flaming other people in Reborn smashing topics.
I just don’t understand how 3 posts make me a spammer when there others making pointless threads, stupid posts with one word! So here I am at the end of my journey through “Renegade as I type this I am uninstalling the game I once loved, modified and cherished. I may see some of you later on in life with other games I may not but let me ask you …Do not hate me for what others have said find out for yourself that I am a willing person to help out others I have worked on many renegade projects but sadly none of them left the ground and made a release but I will be getting into the HL2 modding scene. Goodbye everyone!
I also would like to apologise for my final threads of spam they were made out of frusteration adn were imature.

I would be honored to get a custom title. Not indignated... You should learn to live with it and enjoy it. Someday maybe I'll get one if I keep being just over the top cool.
Also, NeoX how many people do you think Aircraftkiller hastles? Some... Not all. Personally he's never really posted anything towards me, I've never posted anything towards him. There's this big mentality of factionization. It becomes Renalert vs. Reborn. The Blackhandstudios vs. Blackcell. We get these big vendettas built up and then they manifest themselves all over the board. When Aircraftkiller gives advice some people automatically write it off because they "pre-hate" him. Aircraftkiller does do an awful lot of bashing but, it's just how he feels.
On the other hand many of the people who say RenAlert sucks are saying it to get a reaction. From the general public or from Aircraftkiller and the team. They may have never even played RenAlert, but since Aircraftkiller made it, and he says Reborn sucks... They say RenAlert sucks. I've played Reborn and RenAlert. I don't think Reborn is quite so bad as everyone gives it the rap of, however, in a totally unbiased and objective fashion, RenAlert is leaps and bounds above. It's very finished and much more playable. Now mind you, I reiterate. I'm not saying Reborn sucks. If they get the latest version out with all the new things they've been working on it may be somewhat better, but the fact remains that RenAlert is farther along.
While I don't so much agree that moving RenAlert to Source is the greatest of ideas, it is at their discretion and I'm sure they'll put out the best peice of work they can. When this happens, the only remaining mods for Renegade of any prominence will be SWMOD and Reborn, making it much easier for Reborn to finally get some positive spotlight... That is, IF they release a new version that shows a good chunk of progress.
Now onto you, NeoX. Where do you see yourself? SWMOD? Reborn? To whom are YOU allied? The fact that that question is asked shows part of the problem with the relations accross the board. As I stated everything is so factionalized. I don't quite know what causes this. Maybe its the topic of this entire Board; C&C Renegade... With like Reborn as Nod, Ren Alert as GDI and then SWMOD thrown in as like... the Mutants. (Nothing negative meant by that HTMLGOD ) Anyhow it's as if we have seperate armies each battling through their posts trying to defeat the other side.
Now where am I going with all this? I haven't the slightest... I'm mainly just doing a sort of friendly rant of various observations about this place that you've just triggered NeoX. The point is you shouldn't stay so biased and blame the bad on a few people. So many people on here participate in flaming. So many are harsh, so many give deconstructive criticism.
I was actually kinda saddened. In the post in the mod forum about blinking lights. Aircraftkiller actually gave accurate advice on obviously how he does it. The person who asked however, just disavowed what he said because he was Aircraftkiller. I bet if Renardin or Laeubi or Oblivion had posted that he woulda said; Gee thanks! That kind of thing really... It bugs me...
Anyhow this post is approaching extroardinary lengths so I'm gonna cut it off here and pause for questions. ;P Actually just so I can read it over and recompose my thoughts... See if there's anything to be added or such.

OK, when I see someone complain about losing some of their post count, then start seeing posts where they just quote what someone else said, yeah, I'm going to think they're trying to spam their post count back.
And, yes you should be honored that you had a special title. Do you know how many requests for special titles I get and say no?
I'm the bawss.

Hell. Look at my stats. I have not even broke 100 posts. And yes, I was around on the early forums too, with an even lower postcount.
