I play on westwood and i am hearing a lot about hacks that bypass renguard...Is this true and if so is this being fixed?

people that tell you there are none obviously don't know, and if there were/are, either the hackers themselves won't tell anyone (of course, wouldn't you?) or people that know about them'll private message/e-mail someone on the rg team so they can patch it up quietly without letting anyone know either.
I'd say the answer is really yes and no

I have been on the LTRoush CTF server damn near everyday, and haven't heard anything of the sort once. Haven't heard it anywhere else either.
So if you've been hearing it. It's not from a creditible source, and isn't worth listening to, nor repeating.

I dont mean to be the odd ball hear, but I hear it alot too, rengaurd isnt perfect, it does help though. But when people say somthing about it that is an MAJOR issue (like hacks bypasing rengaurd), instead of saying, "Thats not true, I never heard that EVER!" you guys should say "thanks for bringing that to our attention, we will look into it" And accually look into it...

I doubt that these cheaters can actually bypass RenGuard! Like people have been saying, they are just scare tactics to encourage cheaters and deter people trying to save the game.

I've never seen a hack or cheat in a RenGuard server so far. It's nothing really to worry about right now.

actually, I have heard of this too and I am investigating such claims for the good of the Renegade community, in LAN mode of course.
Please do not think that I would cheat in a server, because cheating is as wrong as having Black and White color on a computer.
Please don't ban me either, though I'm sure some people will jump at a oppurtonity to get me into trouble :'(

ive accually heard you can join the rengaurd server then once you get it, close rengaurd and activate the cheats.
i dunno about that, im sure if they knew what they were doing they would just have it check for the rengade client every 3 mins or so.
Also, how does rengaurd work compaired to Punk Buster?
Im sure some people here have cheated in CS before, remember how you got past the punkbuster anti-cheat.

Supposedly what the hack does is let the person put a objects.ddb in that will bypass RenGuard so that they can play in a serever
