It is amazing...It blows over Renegade (im a fan of Planetside for 3 years.....so close to coming out Razz

I am in the Planetside beta, but I'm not keeping my hopes up. I don't like games that require lots of game time. I like Renegade because I can play for like 20-30 minutes and get a full game in. I don't like the games where you have to play all the time to stay at the same level as everyone else.

Pay to play right? Simply because of that fact I prefer Renegade. Who wants to pay to buy a game and then have to pay to play the game aswell? That's what I pay my internet service provider for!

Oh yeah, and how can you say that it's better than a game that you haven't played or even read a review of?

Exactly, if they want you to pay to play you know it's going raise alot of unneed contreversy. I think it's stupid to pay to play. That means the manufacturer is just really greedy. Heck we pay enough for these games. I wish we could get an actualy breakdown on how much freaking profit these companies take of us. It's ridiculus.... :rolleyes:

Pfft... greedy :rolleyes: If they didn't charge monthly they would eventually start racking up debt... The fees will pay for servers with capacities of 3000+ simultaneous players, continual patches and updates with new features and bug fixes, security from cheaters and hackers, and a full-time dev team working on the game even after release. This needs to be paid for somehow, and monthly fees are the way to go.

Generally, pay-to-play games offer a much deeper experience than a "free" game would.

There should be at least an option to choose from like being a member or non-member. There are games that offer those... I just don't think that you should pay definately if you want to play online.

Although I agree that servers need payments but compare that to Blizzard's server. It's just that having the option of being a member and a non-member is better in my book.

Renegade is a team based game... not a Rambo style game. For without teamwork, non shall be accomplished.

I watched Crimson play the beta today. I was VERY VERY laggy. The graphics were cool but reminded me a lot of Tribes. Certainly nothing I would pay a monthly fee to play.

Hmmm, I wasn't laggy but Crimmy wasn't on when I was I think.

Apart from the ocasional FPS stutter (I think this is server related becuase it doesn't often happen) it's a terrific game.

Well worth the payment if many people buy the game becuase battles will be amazing.

Thats why they got this beta test the lag and some more bugs. Surprised

PS will be a very good game with way more tactics then ren. I am downloading the beta now =)

Yeah, I got my open beta e-mail 5 minutes ago, they ship the CDs no clue when I'll get them looking foward to it. And on the Pay to play note. 3000 people per server. All servers run by SOE. I think it's going to cost a pretty penny, I read somewhere a while ago a MMO doesn't really start making mony until 6 months after release or something.. so I'd happily pay a monthly fee.
