If you would have payed attention more you would have noticed that I said nothing about France or Japan. What you would have noticed is that the whole thing is about the U.S.. Everything in this topic is related to the U.S., not Japan, or Britain or France, or any other third world hell hole.

You said: "John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962."
When in actuality, you should have said: "John F. Kennedy started the U.S.'s involvment in the Vietnam conflict in 1962."
There is a difference. It doesn't change too much of your point, but it popped out to me as ignorance and blindly trusting your source.
And Aircraftkiller, since I can't prove anything on an emotional standpoint, why don't you just look at the economic costs of war vs. murders...

hydra1945 | You speak as if the United States was as powerful then as it is now. The U.S. didn't become a bona fide world power until after WWII. It wasn't much stronger than Germany at the start of the war, and the American people were afraid of the war coming to American soil. It simply did not have the resources or the will of the American people to go in immediately to help Britain. Hell, it was just comming out of a depression. It was barely prepared for the war at the time of the Battle of Britain.

Don't stray from the subject. I was, and have always been relating my posts in this thread to Bigjoe's very common statement and the ideology behind it.
