First off what is the comand for binding keys in Renegade?

Second can you take screenshots? If so what is the screenshot button?

I was wondering, I haven't played in so long because my PC has been giving me hassles (won't play any games).

1. you don't bind keys, you set them in options
2. hit print screen, the screenshot goes into the data folder

shift + print screen if you want it to save a tga file to your data folder.
print screen if you want to paste it into paint or an image editor.

print screen button doesnt work on the score screen, maybe he means u need to hold shift there?
cause if u just use print screen at score screen it only copies to clipboard, it doesnt output to a tga :S

you could download FRAPS and have that running during gameplay...
you can assign it to make screenshots with any key.
although they do save as bmp's & are like 2mb each!

Smile Alright where can I get that then?

Size isn't really I factor, I edit most of them save as jpg or something else small anyway.

oh and incase you were wondering: I really like collecting screenshots from games. And when my pc crashed I lost them all so my collection on most games is staring from sratch. I really love the game, have ever sinced I first played it. Just something about it makes it so addictive... diff from others.

Actually it worked great Smile . One more question though.

My PC crashed and ever since I've had trouble playing games. there was a point at which Renegade wouldn't even install. Now it's one of the only ones that will play (and all of the games played before the crash). however the game still has troubles

It shuts down randomly everynow and a again. I don't suppose you guys know of anythin that might cause this problem or that might fix it?

Yes but it's just so inconvienient. I mean it's on the other side of the keyboard and I can't run, aim, shoot, and take good screenshots all st once. So moving it to say the "F" key is just easier.

Any ideas on my other problem from my last post?

Buy a new PC.

Anyways, if you like going in windowed mode, whatever you do DON'T PRESS PRINT SCREEN, or Renegade will crash. You have to hold Alt + print screen if you're in windowed mode.

so you're saying I can't bind the screenshot funstion to a more convenent key? Sad

Well thanks anyway guys.

You can using...
C:\Westwood\Renegade\Data\config\input01.cfg

Quote:

MakeScreenShot_Primary=Sys_Req_Key

Replace the "Sys_Req_Key" with another key name (found in the same CFG file).

Make sure you don't define two functions to the same button.

Once in Renegade, make sure you load the correct config profile.

As for a new PC, that would be great. I don't know if you noticed though but I new PC that can game at a proficient level is freck expensive. Trust me if it were as simple as just getting one I would ahve a long time ago.
