Is it possible to get Renegade workign on Linux, I'm using Suse 9.1 pro edition, I was jsut wondering because if so I may increase the partition size so I can try and get more games on here. I'm gonna try Savage later since it says it will work on LInux. . .

I doubt it. They have to release a seperate version to work on Linux as the .dll's are .so's I believe Smile

Also, Windows and Linux are different. As in, the way they work and were coded.

So someone would have to modify Renegade to make it work for Linux? That sucks, I wanted to play Renegade on Linux and not have to use Windows Sad

In the end it doesn't matter if you are who you say you are. You will still mean nothing to me.

When i have kids, everytime i drive past a fast food restaurant, im gonna punch my kid in the face, then they'll never wanna come..

It's possible, but it's not worth it. You'd also have to trick Ren to install and then trick the WOL components to install. Its VERY tricky. BTW, Use Cedega. WINE doesn't have DirectX API's, which ren require.

If I remember correctly WineX does, athough it wasn't free last time I checked.

Renegade is a pretty old game by now, so I think a modern Linux system will be able to emulate it so it runs at a decent speed.

It doesn't work correctly on any variant of WINE. I tried for about a month and finally just gave up.
