Upon hearing a tip given to me by my local rock radio station, I subjected myself to what can only be considered the lowest attempt at left-wingers to "take back the White House".
That's right, I'm talking damn low. Like sleep with other people to get votes low.
It's called "F The Vote", and it's got to be one of the greatest methods to get ugly/slutty/infecte people laid. Are you in a "Swinger" state? Are you "In" with the "In" crowd?
People ask why I vote for Bush. I'd have to say that I now vote for him just to spite people like this.
Here's a quickie excerpt:
Quote: | Believe it or not, even the most deeply rooted right-wing ideologue can be manipulated by sex. As we all know, the sex drive is a powerful beast that has the potential to change people. People lie for sex, they cheat for sex, they even kill for sex - and you can be sure that they will change the way they think (and therefore vote) for sex. All you need to be armed with are your sexy progressive values, a razor-sharp wit, your genitalia, and a mindset that doesn't mind taking one for the team.
|
That's right, Democrats! Show your faith and lower your standards for your favorite political party! Because we all know that in the name of Kerry, morals and self-esteem mean nothing!

I daresay that's a hoax, but I won't know because I'm not going in.
However, I hardly think it reflects views of most democrats.
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)
"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)

I mean that when whatever politician is speaking usually uses them in incredibly vague ways. It's a completely subjective term that's different for anyone really, you can't really speak of "morals" as being a defined term.
(the first one to post a dictionary definition will be e-slapped)

Aircraftkiller | I wish Bush, or some other politician, had the balls to come out and say "I believe in Judeau-Christian morality and fuck you if you don't agree with me, this is America and I can try to run this country with the ideals I have" instead of playing "love and tenderness with a large side order of backstabbing and a medium sized Coca Poison to go with it."
|
I don't know if I'd agree, but it would clear things up at least.

SEAL | Aircraftkiller, I was really trying to point out the irony of you condemning people who don't need/have a good education, and using a non existing word in the process. Leave it to you to start getting all fussy about it and make such a big deal.
|
Far be it from me to defend ACK, but guess what, Seal ... you're an idiot.
It's a fucking typo. He didn't say "misunderestimated" or make up a word like that; he missed the space bar. Big fucking deal; get over it.
Phoenix:
Bush was elected to lead the country as best he could. If he feels that his "Judeo-Christian ideals" are what's best for the country, then he's just doing his job. Nothing oppresive or facist about it. He's not forcing you to convert to anything; he's just applying what he believes about the world to his job.
And if the American people don't like it, well ... that's why we hold election every four years rather than electing presidents for life.
And shepherds we shall be,
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from thy hand;
That our feet may swiftly carry out thy command.
And we shall flow a river forth to thee,
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
