I have been seeing many people cheating in game who were connected to the Renguard network.
I have witnessed things happening to me like one shot pistol deaths. I have witnessed my vehicle being destroyed in one hit without a discernable trace.
I witnessed someone being gunned down by a Nod shotgunner from long range. Range that the shotgunner could have no way hit someone let alone killed in one hit from.
All on Renguard protected servers.
I was reluctant to post any of this for fear of simply being laughed off as a n00b, until my friend offered insight into how people might be doing this and that he himself did it.
" When renguard came out, i had my brother use softice, and make a instructions line, jump to the finish instead of checking for cheats
So it returned as cheat free, instead of checking"
I asked "So you made the EXE point to a clean folder instead of the one with cheats in it like punkbuster"?
"No you could do that with a hexeditor though I guess it would be an easier way though".
Whether or not he was telling the truth there are definetly people cheating who are on the Renguard network. They are somehow bypassing it and I wish the team would look into any possible ways they might be doing this

One thing to remember is that if you play in an 'half-assed' RG server (one that allows non-RG clients), then you can expect some cheating.
However if its a full RG server it could have been disconnected from the RG network.
Failing that, someone could possibly have gotten around it....

Hex editing the application will not work. It will be rejected from logging in.
Softice will not work. We paid money for anti-softice protection on the app.

when rengaurd first came out *PO* my clan was one of the first to install and use it i was hesitent on using it wasnt for sure it would truely work it did to an extent but was easily bypassed now it has been upgraded and i have not tried to bypass it altho i was told a trick to bypass it and still join gaurded games the key to bypasssing it before was to install it and use game2.exe to launch ren.
from what ive been told the new way is to use regedit and it involes your log in name i wont post how to do this on the forums for fear of someone actually doing it and it working. As far as people using cheats on rengaurd protected servers yes they are myself and another mod on fanmaps servers spent 2 hours in a marathon game locating ren nickname p0otyr0o using a cheat that gave his shotgun trooper the ability of sniping havocs from the top of the building on city flying he was killing havocs from up there that were on the road with 1 shot from his shotgun we know this because he wasnt smart about it and used the cheat while a mod was next to him on the rooftop and killed my havoc and 3 others with his shotgun

Ive havent seen it happen yet, of course i just started playin on reguarded servers just a couple of days ago. But I have heard from more than one person there are a couple of was to sneak a cheat in undetected. Like I said I havent seen it yet and they havent shown me any valid proof of this. The way they said they did it was u wait until the game ends load in ur cheat durin the endgame screen then as the next map starts to load u take the cheat out of ur folder before the next map loads. Obviously in order to have time to do all this u would have to have about 256mb of RAM, because otherwise the next map would load so fast u wouldnt have time to do it. Now in saying that I havent tried it, this is just sumthin sumone told me. So I dont know if it works or not, just though i'd give u guys the info in case that it does work so u can put a stop to it. Otherwise I am please with RenGaurd in stopping most if not all the cheaters. Now hopefully the other servers will install it themselves. BTW if u have a cheat in when the next map starts to load then u take it out the cheat will still work

Yeah, I got kicked when I put xptek's spectator mod in when I was going to run around annoying people with a chicken in his server.
