Now I get it! It's okay to lie if your intent is to stop a war (oh, and if your name is Michael Moore).

Moore wasn't lying when he added footage of war scenes and war injuries.

SuperFlyingEngi

Name just one factually incorrect statement (that means there are facts to prove the statement incorrect, so don't go saying "He said there were WMDs in Iraq, and that's not true!" because there are no facts to prove such a statement false) that Sean Hannity has not corrected himself for.

Everything they said about Saddam having nuclear weapons was factually incorrect. They were using intelligence from other countries while our own CIA was telling them that the intelligence was a forgery.

hydra1945

Firstly, it is largely a bloodless war since only 900 men have died out of 100,000 men stationed there. That's 0.9% of all men stationed there who have died. It's more bloodless than bloodful. Secondly, I remember seeing a coffin with an American flag on it being taken out of an airplane that held the body of someone who died in Iraq on Fox News, so how can he not allow cameras to view coffins when he DID allow them to view the coffins?

Hydra, blood should not be measured in what percent of our people died, but how many of them died. We've lost over 900 soldiers to a lie war. That's unacceptable.
And we're just going to keep on losing more, since we can't just leave, because the current administration has no real plan for fixing Iraq. Sovereign government, sovereign government, but when will we pull our troops out? Probably not for years, because we can't without having Iraq be destroyed.

There are pictures of coffins because one reporter snuck a camera in and took pictures. She got in some trouble for it, but there was nothing wrong about the photographs.

hydra1945

EDIT: Apparently SuperFlyingEngi isn't the only one mad at Fox News. As told in this article, some Democrats have written a letter to Rupert Murdoch whining about the "bias" on Fox news. Read the article. It's a good read.

That entire article is bullshit. "squealing like babies?" Boortz is a moron. I suggest you stop reading his online articles and pretending they are news.

Nodbugger

And photographing coffins have always been shunned upon.

So now you're changing your story from "coffins were never allowed to be photographed" to it being shunned upon? Do you even know what you're talking about?

hydra1945

Ah, so the percentage is even lower than 0.9%! You shouldn't be complaining that it's so high, Super, you should be celebrating that it's so low!

I'd be celebrating if we hadn't lost a single soldier.

hydra1945

That's only 0.02% of the Iraqi population. How many more people died in Iraq when Saddam was still in power and people were snatched from out of their homes during the middle of the night, rounded up in a single place, and massacred and buried in mass graves?

Mass graves are a lie. They don't exist. They never did. Only about 5,000 Iraqis died during Saddam's regime. And last week, the number came out that the number of Iraqi civilians killed is more like 36,000. But, SURPRISE, this administration hasn't released any numbers about casualties itself.

There are some mass graves, just not to the extent it was previously thought to be.

Sorry, your incorrect about our intellegence. Saddam was playing "hide the missle" from Bush, using mobile SCUD launchers. The intellegence does not show these SCUDs because the time the recon pictures were taken, Iraq was having a sand storm.

Coffins have never been allowed to be photographed.

How has has he made it seem like a bloodless war?

You are wrong.

"White House officials say the administration is strictly enforcing a policy that has been in place since the Persian Gulf War of 1991."
http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/04/23/bush.caskets/

George Bush Senior created that policy to make the Gulf War seem like a casualty-free action. Personally, I find the policy UnAmerican and UnDemocratic.

The guy flip flops on important things so much its rediculious do we realy want this guy in the white house in a time when we need a strong leader that is able to make a choice and then stick with it? I think not if you pick the person who is best suited to lead us at this time then i would have to say that person is bush.

I know what you mean however, i do think the left is quicker to attack rather than actually think about what there saying. If they would listen to what we say then they would have some commen sense and not be against the war in iraq, they wouldn't be comparing our president to satan and hitler, they wouldn't be trying to get a nut job flip flop like kerry into the presidincy.

However i do understand that you must have democrats and republics for there to be a democracy, and we need both. I agree and dissagree with issues on both sides, but i'd say 90% of the time i agree with Right wing views more because of the way i have been raised and the things i belive.

First off: Not everyone who disagrees with the war is a liberal. I don't support the war because it was illegal. But that certainly doesn't make me a liberal.

You have to understand: with a Republican in office, you HAVE to expect the left to criticize everything he will do. If it were a Democrat in office, the positions would be completely switched and nothing would be any different save the people who are labelled "cynical".

As far as the whole "democrat vs. republic" thing goes, you should commend the valor and haste of your opponents to be able to point out possible flaws in your actions before, during, and after you do them. Not all the criticism is destructive, although it is often taken that way.

Couldn't have said it better myself- wait, I HAVE said it myself. Some people just can't accept that sometimes both sides are just as screwed up.

I was absolutely 100% pro war- I still am. However, I dislike how it has been handled- more specifically, I think the media has been allowed to report on stories that, frankly, should not be common knowledge. It has been my opinion for some time that the war would be going a lot more smoothly if reporters were told from the start that they were not permitted to report on certain events, persons, or places. For example, allowing a reporter to travel along with troops going into battle- live on international television the whole time. There are some things in this war that I feel I and every other US civilian should not have known about.

Continuing on the media thing, I disagree with how war reports are handled. Every time there are casualties, all the major networks gobble it up, stamp out a flashy title, and report it as "the worst attack since(insert date here)." Reports like that can, and do, give people false impressions about what is really going on over there- from the way the war is reported, nobody would even know it if we're winning. Hell, even the victories are reported as if they were failures- "US forces bombed (insert location here), locals are protesting." Nevermind the cache of weapons, or insurgent hideout, or whatever that the attack was directed at; positive reports don't get ratings.

That's what I think is fucking up this country. Free press is wonderful, but I think the media is mistaking free press for absolute power to do whatever the fuck they want. National security and the right to privacy are taking a backseat to ratings.

Quote:

However i do understand that you must have democrats and republics for there to be a democracy, and we need both.

Wrong. The last thing this country needs are more people who believe there are only two sides to an issue.

Oh, it was no mistake. They found weapons of mass destruction, and they still have a lot left to search (do any of you have any idea how easy it is to hide a couple thousand liters of anthrax agent in a freakin sand desert the size of California?).

Which weapons have they found? A couple Sarin Gas canisters? Those are not weapons of mass destruction. They're weapons of it's-been-a-whole-year-but-finally-something-with-chemicals-in-it-exploded-in-Iraq. I can't see how we've been occupying Iraq for a year and still have a lot left to search.

And knight, I can safely assume that John Kerry won't lie about going to war with another country that we should not be going to war with.

Careful there, engi. Assumptions have this nasty habit of getting people stuck with choices that, in hindsight, they realize they should have thought about more. If you're so uninformed about your candidate that you must make assumptions about him, should you really be supporting him? Or should you instead try to find out more about Kerry as a person, and figure out what he'll really do in office. I certainly hope you're not naive enough to beleive that a politician will keep all his promises when the election is over- Bush didn't, nor did Clinton, or Bush the elder, or Reagan, or Carter, or anyone else before them.

I originally supported Bush. I read up on him a bit, paid close attention to his actions in office... now I realize that neither Bush nor Kerry would be my first choice for President.

Uninformed voting is worse than not voting at all- you might put someone into office who you really don't want running the country.

Alright, cocksucker, lets dance.

First, as you seem to have a poor grasp of the English language, here's a quick fix to your statement:
cowmisfit

Don't tell me what to do, you nub; I don't have to listen to you. I'm not your bitch and you're not my master.

Now, by "nub" I assume you mean "noob" and are just an idiot. And while I'm not your master, you just made yourself my bitch.

You came into an argument that was already underway, you spouted some stupid drivel and then seem surprised when you're told to go fuck off? First, you didn't even bother to read anything that was written by other people, or you would have known that we've already established that:
a. It was illegal, and
b. Just cause Saddam was bad, that doesn't make it right.

Now, perhaps the trouble here again lies with your (obviously) poor grasp of the english language; due, no doubt, to the fact you didn't pay attention in school because your anus was so sore from your father fucking you at night.

Be that as it may, I'm moving on to what I will generously call your "next point."

Your a jackass for even comparing 9/11 to a drug dealer or murder in prision, just a plain jackass.

Interesting. What would you call killing a bunch of people? Cause I would call it "mass murder." Or is it your opinion that the rules can change based on how"big" of an offense it is?

If a person only kills 10 people, the police have to capture him, but if he kills 20, can they then bomb his house? Can I?

Apparently, bitch, you fail to grasp a simple, yet potent, analogy. Welcome to the world of being an adult. Just cause you want something to happen does not make doing it legal.

Now, as I know you probably either didn't read or didn't understand what I wrote, the obligatory flame:

You're a little piece of shit. You're an idiot, and worse than that, you're an idiot who thinks we care about what you think.

Guess what, we don't.

In fact, we only respond to you in the hopes that you will recognize your idiocy for what it is and decide to kill yourself in an inventive way (I suggest wrapping piano wire in a sliding noose around your neck, tying it to a chimney, and jumping off a roof; hanging, and perhaps even decapitating, yourself) so that we can gain some amusement from your otherwise pointless and annyoing existance.

However, as the odds for that are slim, I will at least gain some small measure of satisfaction from knowing that not only do you have to continue your sad and meaningless life, but you also cry yourself to sleep at night, trying not to hurt your bruised and bleeding anus anymore than it already is after being ravaged by whoever decided to recently make you his bitch.

Fuck you, die.

Alright, bitch, let's take a look at this post. I've taken the liberty of highlighting and underlining examples of your fucktardedness; I hope you appreciate it.

Are you sure? I really hope you'll reconsider.

I think by telling me all of that, your only confessing things taht you feel and do, are you reaching out for help young man??

Yes, it's true. I'm confessing. I was there when your daddy raped you in your ass. I was busy burning your teddy bear though, so I'm surprised you remembered me.

You just took this topic completly off course from polotics, to urging me to die and commit anal sex acts, thats kinda funny.

Actually, I was only urging you to commit suicide. I wasn't urging you to "commit anal sex," I was just commenting on your experiences in it.

Everyone does not feel that way about me, im sure quite a few hate me, because i am a cockey ego drivin son bitch and i know it Smile

... Although, you have very little to be egotistical about ...

But i am not a little bitch and will back down ...

Good. Now back down.

... or give out people as someone of your character would. I may call people assholes and such, but i would never tell someone to do something like kill them selves, thats just wrong and out of line. If you respect me,

Nope.

Bring it, bitch. You gonna be mean to me? Oh, I'm shaking in my boots.

And you're a moron for ending all your posts with a eye-rolling smiley face.

I am sick and tired of idiots like you thinking that just because they are breathing they have the right to inflict their opinion on us. This is America; you can have your opinion, but keep it to yourself. Once you learn to spell and use proper grammar, then perhaps I'll take what you have more seriously.

But I doubt it. Your opinions, like your posts, show that you have put such little time and thought into them that to even entertain the notion that they might be valid actually lowers my IQ. Fortunately, I had a few spare points that I wasn't really using at the time (yay, Ohio!) so I was able to read it.

The drivel you (and others) continue to claim is not just a valid opinion, but is actually "TEH TROOF NO AN OPONION!!!11" has finally wearied me enough that I am no longer attempting to correct you.

Instead, I'm just requesting that you have a Coke, a smile, and shut the fuck up. Sit down, shut up, and let those of us with the capacity for higher thought debate the issues.

Bush may not be the smartest person to ever sit in the Oval Office, but you make him look like a regular Einstein.

Enjoy your miserable life, bitch.

And shepherds we shall be,
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from thy hand;
That our feet may swiftly carry out thy command.
And we shall flow a river forth to thee,
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
