At least from these two videos they are. Do war protesters have a plan on what to do if war was not declared? Obviously not, other than let Saddam stay in power and torment his people.

And one thing. I do agree with protesters that going to war causes pain and death. DUH!!! That's why it's always the last option, when diplomacy fails. Saddam has proven to us that war is the only way for us to disarm him.

Wow...that was highly entertaining stuff...I LOL'd several times Smile

I have no problem with protesters...specifically peacful protesters. I don't feel sorry at all for the assholes who get arrested for throwing rocks and purposefully block traffic. This IS America and everyone has a right to state their opinion, but hurting and impeding others while you are doing it is not right.

"But", it seems apparent that there is a large number of "professional protesters" out there, with a closet full of posterboard and magic markers, ready to join any throng of people they see gathering. "Yeah! It's protest time baby! Lets go hang out with some people and maybe even get on TV...if I'm lucky I might even get laid!". Mindless lemmings.

There are some actual intelligent protesters, such as the fellow at the end of the second video. Why can't more of them be like him, instead of the drunken & high people carrying signs saying "Fuck Bush he is Hitler" jumping up and down on peoples cars?

My point being that statistics show that anytime a group of people start to form, many will join it and "pretend" to be on their side, when really they just don't have anything more exciting to do that day. When placed on the spot and asked real questions about the issues they supposedly feel so strongly about, they fumble for an answer and the hilarity depicted in these videos ensues.

Well I feel Saddam was disarming. If we kept pushing the weapons inspectors he would have to disarm eventually. Even if he was just giving weapons up to show he was disarming. He would run out of weapons to give up as time went by. I mean they were right in the middle of destroying those al-samuds when the US decided no more diplomacy. You know it might have been smarter to let the missles destroyed then go to war so they can't use them on neighbouring countries.

But I don't protest. Too many chances it will turn violent. I am content with imagining how the Arab world will react. Satisfaction enough.

Dying out wouldn't really harm the people.

I'm glad that you can sleep at night, by telling yourself that its not "really" murderous or inhuman to wish future generations, including your children and childrens children to be dead. Is genocide too scary a word for you?

Keep telling yourself that wishing mankind would cease to exist is "okay" since you aren't personally killing them.

Are you sure it isn't YOU that wants to cease to exist? Does life not make you happy? Do you think that life doesn't make others happy?

Who are you to "decide" (thank goodness it's not your decision) upon the future of the human race? Why do you think your children do not deserve to live?

Here's how it works: You are born, you grow and learn. You live your life as best you can and then you die. Unless you did something pretty significant during your lifetime, nobody will even remember you a generation later.

Why do you think that the human race dying out would be a good thing?

Is this about "leaving the earth to the animals"? I'm an animal lover myself, but don't forget that we are animals too, and have just as much right to be alive as a bear in the woods or a daisy in a field.

*shrug* I don't want to argue, only to understand. Usually when someone brings up a point of view, they at least have an explanation or at least a reason they feel that way. As I said, it's certainly your right to wish for humanity to die out. Hell you could wish that I would die and it wouldn't bother me...I'm just trying to figure out WHY you feel that way, and WHAT you think it will accomplish.

Alright. Maybe after a few more times bringing that up and I will have share some information on how I can back up my POV in my head. But I have raised my standards on how much I share my views. So convince me you have geniune interest in a few more topics. I do have my backing up info but I will admit it is weak and hypthetical. I mean how can you truly prove a point like that? All I can say right now is I beleive the world would be alot better off if we stopped reproducing.

I wouldn't say that all of the protesters are stupid, well not all of them anyways. I would say that most of them are just uninformed and ignorant of the facts, perpetuated by a liberal media in the US. Whenever I watch the news I take it with a grain of salt, meaning that I always consider the other untold side of the story. Having been in Kuwait during Desert Storm I've seen first hand the atrocities of the Iraqi regime, I've talked with the Kuwaitis and understand their plight. The war on Iraq is not only to find weapons of mass destruction, but to remove a brutal dictator before he becomes another Hitler. I truly believe that Saddam would or already has given chemical or biological weapons to terrorist organizations. This is why he is a threat to not only the US, but to the entire world. He cares for nothing but his own perpetual reign of power. He is truly of the same caliber of Hitler and Mussolini, although he has been in power at least 3 times longer.
