Im a mod on a forum that left ezboard maybe 2 months ago.I was like you I expected 3 times as many people as we had for the first couple weeks. We only had 18k member or so at westwood. But think of how many of those accounts were inactive.

The 'old' renegade forums are still open so people are still using them.
As soon as they close, it should pick up

In the end it doesn't matter if you are who you say you are. You will still mean nothing to me.

When i have kids, everytime i drive past a fast food restaurant, im gonna punch my kid in the face, then they'll never wanna come..

Hey K9, only 346 posts to go! Wink I agree with Vegito, I'm sure the number of active members is much less than registered.

Yah, what England said is right.

Once they close and they redirect to this site (hopefully) then floods of members will come in.

I agree with engalnd they will pick up eventually...

There not doing to bad as they haven't been up that long and people are steadily starting to register and the database increases...

We will see more when Virtual Ted sends out that E-Mail before the forum closes aswell plus the link on the n00bstories site will bring people.

Yeah, I'm actually quite happy with the numbers I'm seeing here. My domain registered 120,000 hits between here and n00bstories, off my average of about 35,000. I'm expecting a large increase once the official forums are completely gone.

I'm the bawss.

Not really. This is a premier site. When the RA2 boards moved there was alot more people on the first day.

Don't get me wrong I think this will be a strong forum, but I just felt it would have grown quicker. Since when the "Big Shutdown" was anounced. There was alot of people that came out of the woodwoork. I thought some of those people would have came here right away to show their support.

The RA2 forums were different, they basically were just moved through the site, not completely relocated

I really like the lay out of the forums. I hope people are not going to be afraid to come here. That is a big fear of mine.

See, I want WARP SPEED God damn it!

Dave, when you have a 2 year old and a 2 month old, patients goes out the window!! Razz I use up all my patients on them. With 2 kids, 3 hours is an eternity.

Oh well, for all of you that haven't registered yet, but are reading the forums, come in! The water is fine Very Happy

I personaly would like to see us 1000 strong by this Friday. Does anyone think it is impossible Question

I think Generals is taking a heavy toll on this forum. Not only that the Main site has changed now it will confuse newer users and brand new users on what is going on. Hopefully they will get the grasp soon... Very Happy

LOL
Give it time.
I'd suggest using NPSmith's AutoComplete (see link in my sig) to help spread the word while in Renegade games. And yes AutoComplete is badfuckingass. If you had two teams of similar skill but one team was using AutoComplete they'd win hands down IMO -- communication is the key !!

I have a bind soley to tell all in game that the forums have moved to n00bstories. Some ppl may not of known that they moved or that they even existed in the first place.
