I didn't see you helping anyone on that forum.
Anyhow, I'm off to bed. Must work tommorrow.

Okay then, the majority of this community will continue to believe that you're a stuck up asshole, and you will continue to believe you are the best of the best. Sounds to me like you really are living in your own little world.

That doesn't change the fact that you're not getting anything from him, so what's your point?

"You're bad because I didn't get anything?"

$5 says you'd be kissing his ass were he to give you all the code he's been writing...

Everyone was mad at him before for not sharing any work... but now everyone is mad at him for being stuck-up.

And? You're not stuck up for thinking you have some kind of importance to him that would make him want to do what you say and release his code to the public?

I'm sure if I could do these things as well if I had spent my time learning how to code in this language rather than learn how to design. I don't expect him to share his scripts with me-- we expect him to share with the community.

You always seem to take the point of the topic and change it just a bit to make the other party look bad.

Yes, if he were to release the code, we would all be grateful for it. That's the whole point of this argument: not sharing. If jonwil decided not to share his scripts.dll stuff, your mod wouldn't be what it is today, at least it would be x months behind schedule. He has code that can very much change the course of possibilities this game has to offer, but his refusal to give anyone the chance to make that change marks him as an asshole in everyone else's eyes.

If you are going to take the time to show off your work, then give people a chance to use it. Even if you give it to one other person outside the parties you are affiliated with, it could make a good difference.

On a side note: I find it funny how you are the only one defending him, ACK. That whole "opposites attract" thing has nothing on you two.

If people ask SK to release his code, they're whining.

If JW writes code with the same functionality as SK's, he's stealing.

What a fun community.

We never needed Scripts.dll to do the base work we have. All the "extra" things are what Scripts.dll is necessary for. Even if JW didn't do it, SK wasn't that far behind in making it work.

I don't care if you think of him as an asshole, that's pretty irrelevant since you're never going to get anything from him if you're going to whine and complain that you didn't get anything to begin with. Beggars can't be choosers, and demanding something from someone with no compensation usually makes them want to tell you to fuck off.

Pi, there's a huge difference between "asking" for something and "whining" about it.

Example:

"Silent Kane, could you please consider releasing your code? We would all appreciate it."

^ Ding ding...

"Silent Kane, you're a fuckhead because you don't want to give it to us. We all deserve it but you're an asshole who thinks you're better than everyone because you won't give out code."

^ BZZZZZZZZZZT..

SK wont even cooperate with his own team members at BHS. He is one of the reasons, why CP1 is being delayed so long.. You know, refusing to finish his work because he fears his code might be stolen again.. and I asked nicely, getting the response "no time", and then he starts doing something completly new. Talk about not setting his priorities straight. The community is waiting for this.. *sigh*

So much for working in a team.

Funny, I do believe SSAOW is DA with everything in it that doesn't require DS to function, which is work that I can't release because it isn't mine

Besides, the server-side sniping, inf only, and ctf mods more than make up for one little private mod, which the majority of its code has already been given to the public..

My reply was to Khold's edited/erased post. Ignore it.

How long did it take to do, and why wasn't it released until after xptek released DA?

I released my mod when I felt it was ready to be released. It just so happened to fall around the same time that xptek stole DA. If you look at the timeline, his stealing it almost caused me not to release SSAOW completely, but the words of those who are nice got me through that and prompted me to release it anyway.

We also had piss poor relations with everyone else. We both hated one another, so it is only logical that one side would not want to help the other in any way, shape, or form.
