The reason I let that go was simply because AoD is not a member of the forum, as I stated in my explination. Call it "flaming someone behind their back" if you want, but since he's not a member of the forum, I have no reason to remove it. It may bring out two opposing sides, but it's not going to cause an anti-AoD stance in such that whenever he posts here is going to be flamed for it.
In short, it's a preventative step to avoid the community shrinking with sob posts as to how "no one likes me, I'm gone".
Why don't I just do that to all topic then? Simple. It starts off as a difference of opinion rather rather than diliberate attacks. Remember how I stated that there are some exceptions though, and if a situation occurs that demands it be closed (such as things getting too personal with no way of resolving it (touchy topic, so I won't define it unless asked), then I will lock it.
