Why has "A*C*K" been replaced with "Aircraftkiller" in all of my posts?

(without the *, of course. I had to include them so that it wouldn't be changed in this post as well.)

This is complete bullshit. I can't belive we're being censored like this.

Just because http://home.earthlink.net/~mjfabian/ack_black.jpg says it's wrong, we have to listen to him? That's utter bullshit. People have been calling him that for as long as I can remember, and there just because he wants to be an anal person and decide it's not correct all of a sudden, doesn't mean we should be censored like this.

Hmm, well if it it spells it out that's just convenience.

If this goes any further, though, it'll take quite a big of personality away from this place.

Hmm, I've always called him ACK, the abbreviation in case this is altered. I don't know why you'd want to fight such a nickname, because it goes a long way back, and I don't see how it could be derogatory in anyway.

http://home.earthlink.net/~mjfabian/ack_black.jpg just wants to have more control over these forums than he needs. I'm suprised Crimson went along with this... Confused

I think what you're doing is whining too much over something that's almost irrelevant. I prefer to be addressed by what my nickname is. I don't think you'd be too happy were people to refer to you as MORON all the time, regardless of what your name was.

I think ACK haxx0r3d Crimson's account and is trying to take over the whole Renegade forums community starting here! Ohh noes!!!!!!!!!!!11111111 one one one one one

I think that was kind of silly that Crimson actually went along with that, I mean, what's the point at all, about %98 of the people Refer to ACK as AC*K (without the word filter audviousley) Now all we have to type is AC*K, great word filter, people will just add random letters, or characters either infront, or behind AC*K just so that they can type it like that. The word filters would be funny to mees with for an April fool's joke though, turn they into thems, skin to texture, Crimson to 1337357 \/\/3b/\/\45t73r 3\/3R (1337est webmaster ever), turn AC*K or Aircraftkiller into Grammer Nazi!

EDIT: A few little problems I fixed up real quick. . .

Right...but people never regularly called me Moron before. And Moron is an offensive term, whereas "http://home.earthlink.net/~mjfabian/ack_green.jpg" isn't. Me not wanting to be called "Moron" is a reasonable request. You not wanting to be called http://home.earthlink.net/~mjfabian/ack_green.jpg is just plain stupid.

It's the principle. I'd rather take the extra time to use my workaround than give in to your anal bullshit and have to write Aircraftkiller.

Just because I believe that the-pits and renforums exist in a mutualistic environment, I feel it is only proper that the-pits offers to balance out this filtration by doing the exact opposite. Therefore, whenever the word Aircraftkiller is used on our forums, it will be filtered out and replaced with A C K.

Eh, I don't know. You come across as a rather large one.

SEAL, I find "a*k" offensive because of the way it gets used quite often. "a*k a*k im coughing something up oh its just him again," etc... I have a nickname for a reason, and if you type "a*k" it just auto-completes it for you.

What could possibly be so bothersome about that? I'm sure Crimson would do the same thing were you to ask her.

I find it offensive anytime anyone calls Reborn "Rebarn," and the way it gets used quite often. "Rebarn this, Rebarn that." ... It has a name for a reason, and you should use that.

Since crimson put this filter in; and not just a filter for you, but a filter for everyone, whether they want it or not, I feel she should put one in that will make "Rebarn" appear as "Reborn" and "Reb?rn sucks" as "Reborn rocks."

mmmm ... hypocricy. Grow a dick. (Or are you gonna have her put in a filter that turns that into "It's ok to be a pussy." ?)

EDIT: Fixing my fucktardedness/lysdexia.

And shepherds we shall be,
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from thy hand;
That our feet may swiftly carry out thy command.
And we shall flow a river forth to thee,
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.

Hey Buddy.... Just FYI, it's actually "Reborn," not "Renborn."

Anyway, I'm not entirely certain AssCrackFiller intentionally misspells it as Rebarn. We all know he can't read very well.... maybe he just got confused about what the mod's name really was.

In the TCP protocol, the receiving computer sends an ACK (acknowledgment) to the sending computer. This is basically how a coonection is established.

Sender sends 3 packets, Receiver receives 3 packets and sends "ACK 4" (meaning it received what was sent, and it's ok to send the next number or packet)

Ack

Probably the most frequent utterance of Bill the Cat (a character in Berke Breathed's comic strip "Bloom County").

Milo Bloom: "Remember, folks... ask for those "Bill the Cat" flammable pajamas by name. That's B-I-L-L, not G-A-R-F-I-E-L-D.

Bill: ACK! THPTPTH!!

Quote:

a bad ack, the opposite of a good crack. Can be used to describe something that is particularly substandard or to denote boredom and/or disinterest

"Do you like that new Starsailor Track?" - "Nah it's Ack"

or

"Alright mate how's it going?" - "Not too good pal, the manager at work says that tar..." - "ACK!"

Next up for the "unbiased", AND "non-A*C*K affiliated" moderation of this forum:

Wholesale deletions of anti a*c*k posts.
Attaching of "REBORN SUX!" to every post.
Auto-correct of anything contradicting to his majesty.
Apostrophes added indiscriminately to posts courtesy of "Angry Bob's guide to how flowers add apostrophes".

I, personally, wouldn't mind a filter that changes a single "i" to "I". "dis" to "this", etc.

Even assuming we all meant it to be offensive (which I never did), doesn't AssCrackFiller dish out so many insults every day that he should be able to take it like a man instead of hiding behind a filter?
