The Renegade: A New Hope texture artist, Prometheus, just finished his work on the DH-17 blaster, modeled by Skierarc. This weapon is favored by Rebel combat infantry for its light weight and high rate of fire. It will be the primary weapon of the Rebel Troopers in our mod, in a role comparable to that of the Autorifle - it fires quickly, but is relatively ineffective against vehicles and other armored units.

It looks "cheaply" modeled... There's not that much detail in the model, cylindrical objects that are closer to the camera and or larger should be made with more sides, instead of it being 8 sided, it should be something like 12 sides, or you can just make the ends 12 sided, and make them connect to the 8 sided middle. You're also missing a lot of detail on the gun, like the dial(s) on the side of the scope, and the two columns that hold up the scope are supposed to go all the way around the scope. The little cylindrical object just below the scope is supposed to stop just before the part below it gets wider, instead of going all the way to the end. It needs a magazine receiver, right now it just looks like it goes straight into the gun itself. Also, the grip looks way too thin.

The texture also needs a lot more detail, right now it's very plain, like scratches/weathering/etc. and other little details like the mode selection switch that's supposed to be on the top of the grip...

Lol.... A carbine is definitely a rifle.

Anyway, SirPhoenixx, we'll keep your suggestions in mind. You're definitely right about the texture needing more wear and tear, and I'll see what I can do in terms of adding more sides to the cylinders that make up the body of the weapon.

Yeah, I agree with Phoenixx, that model needs quite a bit of work, and the texture needs just a few wear marks.

An excellent display of a positive feedback relationship between mod teams.

I applaud the departure from the usual "IT SUCKS" comments.

Think, if you had dealt with Reborn in a more cordial manner, instead of thinking it would be of importance to say everything sucks, Reborn wouldn't be despised by so many unthinking automaton suck-ups.

If you don't have anything valuable to say, don't say anything.

Saying "this and that sucks" isn't valuable.

I don't care if it's an opinion, whether it's intelligent, or whatever else you can think of. What matters to me is that I can state it because I know Reborn sucks, and that's all there is to it.

And saying "If you don't have anything valuable to say, don't say anything." isn't that valuable, either. Why don't you take your own advice, the both of you, and shut the fuck up?

In other words, you can be as hypocritical as you want to be. I don't even know why I validate your replies with a response, you never have anything but garbage to write.

I rarely use the ignore function, but I think it will work great on you. Later, troll.

And this is a bad thing?

Oh darn, Community killer doesn't like losing written debate, and won't respond anymore. Now if we could just get you to stop responding to EVERYONE, this would be a nice little mod forum.

I didn't state anything of the kind.

I was making inference to your great leader. I have no issue with you. You have always been professional in demeanor.

By the way I found where it states there will be AT AT walkers, so no need to answer. I look forward to this feature.

Come on guys, take the flames elsewhere. If you have a problem with someone, and they have a problem with you, there is no point in renewing your argument, least of all in an unrelated thread, and particularly if you are responding in an inflammatory manner to an un-inflammatory post.

And for all that AK supposedly starts all the flame wars this instance was clearly started by Kirby, I would not hav though that you would have shown such a lack of maturity.

Anyway, I agree with SirPhoenixx on the issue of wear and tear aswell as thew lack of sides to the cylinder. The thing that bothers me the most though are the buttons/dials below the scope: very blurry and too obviously 2-D to look good. Other than that it's a great model, I commend the artists.
